Those annoying stupid adverts don't pay for themselves (though they do guarantee I'd never use them, ever). If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0

Have to say, I got to the end of the deal without ever being told about an admin fee, accepted the offer, then he said, OK, so it's X MINUS £50, so we'll transfer Y to your account.
wasn't the end of the day and wasn't too bothered - maybe I should have read stuff more carefully, but they definitely didn't go out of there way to point it out to me.
Their service is based around screwing people over. You'll go on the website, fill in the form, say your car is "in good condition". They'll say £5000. You get to the place, he'll go round it..say "ooh, there's a tiny scratch here, so we'll take off £100 for that", "my super-trained eye can see a tiny bit of invisible denting here...off comes another £500", "ooh, it looks like your alloys *smelt* a kerb once - £50 each to fix those". Before you know it, they're offering you £3000 for the thing. Personally, I didn't expect anything different, but my gf got into a bit of an argument with the guy stating that "good condition" for a five year old car doesn't mean "as new" and that it's unreasonable for them to offer quotes they've no intention of honouring. She didn't get anywhere, but it was entertaining to watch the guy squirm a bit.
Once you accept that they're fundamentally sharks, they're quite easy to work with.0 -
Just out of interest, I put my car details in to see what it came up with.
A 54 plate Vaxuahll Vectra, good condition, high mileage. Approx value between £2000-£2500.
WeBuyAnyCar value = £900

I do know some people who have been given a fair amount from webuyanycar, but all were less than 5 years old, and had a reasonably low mileage. It was a bit less than they would have got selling privately, but saved the hassle.
If your car is an old banger, don't bother. I know several people who have gone to the effort of filling in the valuation page, got the £70 offer (yay!), and then seen the bit about the £50 admin fee, which you only find out once you've filled the forms in.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Same here.. car worth a few hundred and they offered £70: minus the admin fee = £20.
A waste of my time.Never sign anything!0 -
The prices WeBuyAnyCar quote are always way lower than you can achieve selling privately, and to these people who moan about having the "hassle" of selling privately, how hard is it to clean a car and put an ad in Autotrader or put it on eBay with a modest reserve, in order to achieve a much higher selling price? This is a moneysaving site and you can save hundreds by selling privately, if your too 'busy' (lazy?) to dedicate a few hours to selling privately to save hundreds of pounds then why are you here.0

£50 for my car:rotfl: so i would have a penny!, id spend more than that on petrol to get there!Back by no demand whatsoever.0

There are adverts in my local paper offering a minimum of £120 for scrap with collection included.
We buy any car will pay more for something they can retail easily as they can add mark ups in the form of guaranteed finance, snake oil paint protection and warranties. The man without a signature.0
