Hi
I have ordered my New English Kitchen, thankyou moggins. It has not arrived yet, but i am doing an order with amazon and wondered about The Paupers Cookbook by Jocasta Innes. I really need to start enjoying cooking again, get the family eating healthily and want to reduce my food bill. We don't eat alot of meat and meals need to be quick and easy to prepare. Do those of you that have this book find you use it alot.
Another one is more with less cook book doris janzen longacre
and real food for your slo cooker annette yates as I'm not very adventurous(sp?) with my slow cooker
thanks for any recommendations as I don't want to spend out only for it to gather dust in the cuboard0 -
I could not live without the Paupers Cookbook, I lost it once while moving house and it took me years to find it again, now I have two copies in case that ever happens again.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
When I add 3 books (all on the buy 3 get the cheapest free offer) it is still charging me for all 3 - does the free book only come off the total after you have submitted your credit card details?"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

Yes I think it shows at the bottom of the page after you enter your cc details.
Have you signed in or registered so the free postage code can be used?0 -

I thought that it wasn't showing either at first, but it has a deduction nearer the bottom of the screen.

I sent for my three books a few days ago and it deducted the cost of the third book as soon as I selected it, before I entered my card details ( as Trow says there was a deduction further down the screen). However, today I decided I had to have another three
but it was just like competitionscafe said - it wasn't taking the third book off at all - I didn't want to complete the purchase in case it took the full amount. It definitely isn't doing the same thing it did a few days ago! I emailed the bookpeople to ask about it but not had a reply back yet.

Update to this - have just spoken to customer services and they were aware that the 3rd book isn't going through as free - will prob be Monday before the problem is fixed as the internet people don't work at weekend. Also free P&P code doesn't seem to be working any more.
Edited to say - just tried again for good luck and free P&P code worked ! ( 3rd book still being charged though)0 -
Dilemna!!!
I am in the checkout screen now and the 3rd book is charged, but the code for free P&P worked - what do I do??!!!
Wait til the 3rd book free is fixed and lose the free P&P or fight with them that the 3rd book was charged.....Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
Thanks, Moggins! Have just ordered The New English Kitchen, using the free delivery code. I might have a look for the Pauper's Cookbook now, will probably come in handy!0
