    hangs head in shame - they had it on the bookshelf at the supermarket tonight. I picked it up just to look, honest - and ended up buying it even though it was (whisper it) full price!

    I couldn't help it!!

    Funny thing is I would never have picked it up to browse if it hadn't been for this thread. From the cover I thought it would be a completely different sort of cookbook - the sort that makes you buy loads of ingredients you end up using once

    Off now to read cover to cover

    Just ordered along with 2 copies of the Classic Conran (3 for 2 offer) plus free p & p code. Total £9.98.
    One Classic Conran is a Christmas pressy for SIL and husband, they like cooking and I got them the Conran chopping board last month reduced to clear in Sainsbury's.
    So thats them sorted.

    Got mine today - Thanks Moggins for the recommendation and the code for free post and packaging. An interesting book - certainly food for thought!:T

    BTW- although there are lots of meat recipes there are lots of veggie ones too. I got lots of ideas for using up the odds and ends from my fruit and veg box.
