My daughter bought me The New English Kitchen for Christmas - I read it cover to cover before the end of the holidays ... I can second Moggins on this .. it is absolutely brilliant.

Thanks Moggins - just ordered mine now. The book about preserving looks good too, being as we are going in to Autumn. I didn't order it 'cus I just love my Marguerite Patten book; Jams, Preserves and Chutneys, but that does cost £7.99 and the one from The Book People is cheaper.0
