Bear bean bags..anyone used?

Update..again..apologies r.e rough days as lost track of how many times i have called them up..costing god knows how much on a mobile..

Well no different to last time really..excuse after excuse tbh. the owner said he assured it with me..that was last week and when i checked the tracking it said 27th May..so i called him and he said there was a prob with that..it was then apparantly on a lorry ready to go so i said 'great so tom or next day'..he said yes BUT it was in London and had to go to Birmingham first so would be wed/thur at the latest..suprise it is saturday and nothing. Actually reading this back i cannot belive it have put up with his cr*p and will be in touch again on monday morning threatening legal action with them if they do not shift there backsides!

I have emailed the NEC and the Gadget show and had replies off both of them, they are looking into it at the mo. If anyone else has probs with this please let me know...Watchdog next i tell you.

the big one..more an outdoor type thing and can be used as a chair/spare bed etc..very comfy!

Ok hopefully last update..not that i'm sure anyone cares but i'm doing this for you and me FO-T!!!

Got an email from the gadget show this morning asking me to ring them, i called and expressed my utter disgust and the man said he had just spoke to bear bean bags and given them my name to which they (the owner who ive spoke to numerous times) had no recall..that made me even madder so he asked me to call them again and see what he said. I called BBB and spoke to the owner and mentioned the gadget show and he was very apologetic saying they had given him my surname and he only recognised me by my first name..sigh

Aaanyway cut a very long story short throughout the morning the owner assures me..PROMISES me it will be in our house by wednesday..yes that's WEDNESDAY..he also said he will send a cheque of compensation as i was one of the very few (stupid) ones who stuck with them and didnt cancel etc so it was the least he could do..if a cheque comes i think i will laugh hysterically!!!..i actually said if my car wasn't out of action id'e have quite happily driven to Birmingham this morning and collected it myself but may have come away with the owner inside it and see how long it took him to get back to his address..we will see!

What a palaver! I've been following this thread, aghast at what's happened re delivering these bean bags.

I know, how hard can it be..could have made one quicker!!
I said today was the 48th day he had been taking the mickey and he just sympathises with me..grrr well the nice guy has gone come wed night if it not in this lounge there will be the poo hitting the fan as my patience has run out.

Rung the delivery co to check up on times and nothing..they don't have it..i am unimpressed to say the least so have been back on to the gadget show and trading standards, they say i am within my rights to demand compensation and the amount is up to us I will await the moron of the company to ring me.
Just spoke to the gadget show again and they are disgusted, they say they have rung him for me this morning and he says it will be with me between 12pm and 1pm..hmm clocks ticking..he has picked the wrong person to mess with i'm afraid.

DO NOT BUY A BEAN BAG FROM THESE PEOPLE..unless you want it months later.

gabyjane, Thanks for telling the Gadget show about it. I was told on wednesday 2nd June that they realised that they had made errors when inputting the information for all their customers; this meant that they had to re-assign tracking numbers to our parcels so that we could use the DPD website. He was apologetic but never actually said the word "sorry". He said I would receive my bean bag by Thursday 10th June at the very latest......

& what do you know? I received the bean bag today!!! I'm yet to open the package to ensure I got the right one. I'll update once opened.

I still intend to tell them exactly what I think of their complete lack of communication with their customers.

Well...suprise!!!! it came!! i was so shocked and told the driver i was pleased to see him! he said he was me as the box was so big! shoved it in the garage till i finished work and got it up a min ago. Of course dh tried to annoy me by telling me it was orange..(we ordered black!) but tbh said that was fine as would drive up and stuff the owner in it!!

FO-T i am so glad you have yours! hope it is the right one? I have thanked the gadget show and have written a letter to the owner of the bean bag place as suggested by trading standards and will see what he comes back with as we are still within our rights to claim compensation off him (which he did offer but doubt he will send without a push)..he letter also tells them what i think of them and thier service!
