Although I'm really enjoying hearing about your book project Memorygirl, can I suggest you err on the side of caution. You have lots of friends reading your thread but there may also be somebody ready to steal your idea too. I know I'm possibly paranoid but, well, you never know, do you?LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

Hi MG,
I'm up for a Gok Wan challenge, that sounds like a fun one.
Bye for now.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -

If you have any rhubarb, could you 'stew' that in the pressure cooker. My mum 'cleans' her pots like that - only a little rhubard mind as it has to be dumped. Apparently the acid in rhubard lifts anything.LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Hi, I Gokked my wordrobe this week. I work from home and have noticed I now live in jeans and just a few tops. Cleared out everything that is too small ( makes me feel fat knowing it's too small), anything from my clubbing days (makes me feel old), anything that doesn't suit me (makes me feel fat, frumpy etc). Result now have wardrobe half the size, but more choice, I feel like I have more clothes, and have found things that I never wear but look far better than what I have been wearing;). I also made a list, so now if I want to buy something, I can look on the list for what I need.
Don't worry about someone stealing your book idea's. Someone else could write the same book as you, but it would be completely different. It's your personality that is going to be the key to your success, your a one off that's why we love reading your adventures:DSew it, knit it, glue it, reuse it , don't buy it0 -
Got the pot soaking in a solution of vinegar and bicarb - fingers crossed. I seem to remember that boiling coke inthepan and leaving it over night works too - will leave the vinegar for a while and see.
Off to make a cuppa .............back in a tick

Knitwit67 - you are my hero!!!!!!!! Did you actually manage to get down to the 24 pieces - or did you just have a savage cull of your wardrobe?????????
My fingers are itching to start "shopping from home" - I think I might do as you did and get ris of the stuff that no longer suits, then try and pull the "key pieces together" and dump the rest in a suitace to see if its possible to live my live with 24 pieces. Must go and find a list of what the key pieces actually are - LOL.
Righto!! Back to the plan ................. in the next 15 minutes
