Sounds gorgeous!! Can I just ask - when you say 7/8 of a cup you mean seven eighths, yes? My measuring jug says a cup is 8 Fl oz so that would work out to 7 fl oz. Does that sound right? That would mean you are adding in total 2/3 of a pint of water so I can see that would make it sloppy.
I shall have a go at this tonight. Weather should be good here tomorrow and I have a lot of tomatoes that need using up. Tomato bruschetta for lunch sitting in the garden is one of my favourite thingsIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
Thanks Mary, this would have been my question as well - what measure do you use?

Hi there missus - will catch up with your diary later but in the meantime, I'm thinking about getting an order in from Approved Foods but will not use the 28kg weight for delivery - if you want anything from the site, let me know (& this applied to anyone else in the nearby area in Fife ) & I'll add it to my order.
I know what I mean & hopefully it'll make sens to you too

Added imperial and metric measures into the recipe above for you. Sorry about that, but for some reason I bake in imperial (as in 4,4,4 n 2 eggs) - but for bread I use cups. Partly cos one came with original breadmaker and partly cos its a lovely American baker who is helping me refine my recipes for home use.
Hope this helps
.........and Clootiesmum. That would be fab, I will hop on and make al ist later for you and PM it over.
In the meantime - pssst!!! does anyone havethe secret of how to make post-breast feedig boobs less painfull? Its a week since I stopped feeding DS2 and they are sooooooo painfull-

Thanks ever so much.
I bake in imperial as well. I made a huge effort to get to grips with meteric when DD2 was born because I thought that she would grow up not knowing what I was talking about. I have an old fashioned balance scale which I bought a set of metric weights for. But it was so fiddly compared to imperial. You needed three separate weights to get to 50grams (20+20+10g) whereas my trusty 2 oz weight just needs one.
And imperial is so much more flexible. It lends itself much more easily to dividing into 4 (less so into three whreas the old £ shillings and pence system did 3s and 6s very easily (send three and fourpence, we're going to a dance) Sorry I'll shut up now I've really shown my ageIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
Thanks MG - will try the recipe this weekend. Sound delicious though...
Now back to work for me - the Universe needs a bit of help on this front (wish all orders came to me as easily as the buses - but juts give me time).

Time to get really specific on what you want - no airy fairy I wanna date - cos the universe send you little boys as a joke instead.
So what would your dream hour look in your dream job, what about a dream day, dream week - what kind of shape would your year have if you had the perfect job. How many holidays - and where, with whom. How much would it pay you, how excited would you feel, who would you get to work with??????????? Ooohh!!! First dibs on George Clooney!!!!!!:D
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for you I have to go off and do this for myself

Bummer! Should have thought about this myself. There was an occasion last week where I ordered a Magic Bus - and another company's bus arrived (same price) and did not stop. Serves me right...
Be specific, be specific...she chants and gets back to work.

Hi MG
The ciabatta sounds yummy, def one for me to try! I'm cheating tonight as Lidl had a two loaf mix in yesterday for 50p so we are having half of that with tea tonight.
As for the stopping BF I've just finished feeding - all I can say is ouch! I think it took a good 3 weeks for things to settle down for me, I could barely lift my arms at one point so I feel your pain. Best advice I found on internet (and there isn't much advice out there for stopping) was cabbage leaves in the fridge for 30mins and then stick them in your bra to help with engorgement, express just enough to release the pain but not enough that your body thinks your feeding (a warm bath is good or this), good firm bra to help you reabsorbe the milk and keep taking some paractemols every four hours.
HTH and that is not TMI for somexx
Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings
MFW target 2012 to save £11,000 for Over Payments/fill ISA's and reduce lots of things - outgoings, alcohol, waste, weight0 -

Def not TMI for me - my cabbages in the garden are too weenie - may have to spend a little of my grocery budget on one from the shops instead.
This too shall pass - LOL
