Hi MG, I have sent a PM but cant tell if it went so let me know if you didnt get it. ThanksSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Daisy_Sunshine wrote: »Claire, Have you thought of what used to be called WI Markets but are now called Country Markets? They aren't just held in the country its just a name change. It only costs 5p (yes 5p) to become a member. They don't just sell food or plants but anything that is homemade including crafts.
You are encouraged to start small to see what sells so you wouldn't have to carry lots of things with you. I believe they take 10% of sales.
You will find all the information at (put www here) country-markets (and co.uk here). As a recently registered delurker I am not allowed to post links. An excellent site that gives you all the markets in the UK, How to become a producer and more.
nearest one to me is uskand as I don't drive a bit too far, but thankyou, I have noted it down and will have a look at public transport see if it is feesable.

So excited....Be careful - one of the first things is a relaxation exercise - I didn't get past it

How exciting that Mr Big is coming to visit :j
It never ceases to amaze me how quickly things are moving for you,
and am very pleased for you that the dreaded CTC arrived despite their best efforts :rotfl:
I am struggling to start the challenges at the moment, but will endeavour to start when I return from my long weekend away
Clairewop, would you consider making jewellery from beads that other people own? I have a lot of tigers eye pieces (that used to be a necklace) a present from a friend in South Africa, but the string broke, and sadly I cannot wear it anymore. If I sent them to you would you be able to restring them for me? I would be willing to pay for it to be done and any postage costs.
I just wondered whether that could be another side to your new business?
Please feel free to ignore this if it is not something viable.
Sorry for the hijack MG :embarasse

Its not often that I can't keep up with a thread! Amazing that Mr Big is coming over - I'm doing the challenges as and when I can, I'd love to be up to date by the time he gets over, but between work, CPD seminars and trying to get builders and do DIY myself, I really doubt it. Still, some wonderful stuff is going on, and the challenges that I *am* doing are helping me get the house straight, and get some boxes unboxed in a way that suits me.
Thank you, MG!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi folks,
just a brief note to say that i love the last two challenges - they look trivial but when you think about it this two things are exactly the ones many of us here have forgotten about. We chase the future and are too tired and preoccupied to enjoy the present with our children. In the chaos of every day life we have forgotten about oursleves - I know I have.
Doing what I like, pampering myself - now this is a challenge.

MG,
I read your book last night, it made so much sense. But I second what others said, you should charge more for postage!
OH had a peek too and said that finally he understands my 'speed reading' (I'm known of reading fast and remembering most of it:o-and from your list at the beginning I remembered all the words:o-pssst I have picture memory). Mind mapping looks interesting but I guess I have been doing it in my own way by making to-do-lists and having sub to-do-lists, never drew pictures but I might start now:D. I loved the layout of the book, the colours and the size of it, finally not a huge, thick, boring one which you can't even carry with you. I'm looking forward to receiving the next one- I try to make mind maps for my Uni course though not sure I will be good at it.
