ButterflyDawn wrote: »Hi there,
My elimination list was non-existent too Cheery. All that is left for me to do is to complete the £100.00 to £10,000.00 challenge and this thread is really helping me. So thanks.
I am an Olympic athlete (not literally), as I suspect all on this thread are.
I was a Senior Manager at what used to be the biggest company in the world, renowned for having top class managers (think Jack Welch). I saw the Stock Market crash coming and got all my money out just off the top, so that beats many of the top investors in the world. I had been thinking want, but actually I have no debt, savings and a tiny mortgage. I live in a beautiful house, in an amazing part of the world and I have a wonderful family and friends.
My plan for turning my now £2,500.00 into £10,000.00 was to set up a company, which I have done, come up with an idea, which I have done and market it locally. I know I would have made that money easily, because I have the right mind set now, but reading the last challenge I realise that I was setting my targets far too low.
In the spirit of Napoleon Hill, I have created a Master Mind Group, which basically taps into your sub-conscious and allows you to get ideas from all sorts of minds outside of your own. One member of my Master Mind Group is Andrew Carnegie. So I asked my Sub-Conscious Carnegie what I was worth, and he said £2,500.00 per hour.
And the idea that my Master Mind Group has come up with, if you can suspend disbelief, is that we should all create a company together, and market it so well that everyone would want to invest in us, and they would profit from our success.
I think it would work and that we could all get that hourly rate, if we worked together, in the way Napoleon Hill suggests.
Well that is my suggestion :rotfl:.
Good night all xx.

Good morning Universal Friends
Having started my elimination list last night, I went to bed fired up with more ideas but was too tired to write them down. I woke up early this morning with a lightbulb firing off in my head, telling me that I need to get rid of my toxic job as soon as possible as it's making me ill.
So today I'm going to start working on changing my life, working out how I can become a virtual assistant as a preliminary idea as I'm a dab hand at organising others (if not myself, lol), enjoy most aspects of PA work (it's my current job). Are there any VAs amongst us who might be willing to share info with me?
I also need the Universe to send me a new computer as I'm currently using my work laptop as mine is virtually dead and of course I don't want to put too much personal stuff on it!!
Does anyone have suggestions of what to buy/look for and an idea of costs involved? I'm a bit clueless - my exOH told me what to buy last time and as he's evil spawn of the devil and the laptop hasn't lasted very long, I'm convinced he told me to buy the worst one in the shop!!
All help very gratefully received x

MG - Please may I have a copy of your book... your PM box is full, so I can't send you my email. Is there any chance you (or someone else on this thread) can send me the details by PM.
Many thanks. Have a good day everyone.0 -
Good luck with whatever it is that you do butterflydawn x
My elimination list covers the full spectrum, from sorting out the rest of Dad's "stuff" that has been in my garage since he died 5 years ago, incorporating work related stuff, home clutter related stuff (cupboard under the stairs, anyone?) and most of the usual things.....
But I am also including stuff that niggles me, but that I have never sorted properly such as the hard skin on my feet. Yup, insignificant perhaps, but everytime I kick my shoes off at the end of the day I wish I had beautiful feet - so rather than spend my energy feeling yuk about my feet, I should spend my energy on getting them to be beautiful and feeling good about them.
So, "toxic" stuff doesn't have to be the big stuff.....it is anything that you feel bothered by, get niggled by, or that generally just doesn't make you feel the way you *want* to feel.
On that note - I am off to find a pumice stone :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
@CheeryDaff Re: the elimination list--I'm not sure if the Phd belongs on the elimination list. I understand that you want the work and time it requires over but a phd is something to be really proud of and something you will be proud of having done in the future. Isn't it negative things we need to eliminate.
I'm going to miss tonights update because I'll be at my mothers and she doesn't have internet so it'll be X-Factor instead for me tonight! I'll catch up later obviously.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

Get a PedEgg (£10 but worth every penny) and some Scholl Cracked heel cream, if you get them - you'll have fee like silk in no time.
Sorry MG
I think it is more about investing the time in myself once a week - I have all the "kit" just never get round to doing it
Of course, my black toenails from marathon training might be a little more difficult to sort, but I will simply look at them lovingly and remind myself that they are part of a fantastic achievement :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I am totally engrossed in this thread/project/inspirational story.
I came to MSE to sort out a debt free life for myself and my family.
I feel after such a short time that there is light at the end of the tunnel and my objective to be debt free in 2 years is possible.
(after reading horror stories of taking 40 years to pay debts of at the minimum)
I now feel as though I could take on the world (baby steps at first though)
I want to thank you MG, Firewalker, Hypno and many others to many to mention individually, you have all given me hope that the mess I find myself in today (financial and otherwise) can be changed for the better.
