DT - what you wrote really resounded with me. When I found out my figure was so high, I initially felt demoralised, what can lil ole me do in the real world to improve her current level? It's too much for me? Woe is me and all that.......(I was having a very bad day yesterday so it was a horrible knee-jerk reaction).
5 minutes later I was in a more contemplative mood and writing down ideas and getting excited!
Fast-forward to this morning and I'm excited about the challenges aheadBring it on!

Although if you introduced me as Aunty Bob, i will get some funny looks:D:rotfl::rotfl:
I am CRB checked though

never made the connection until now that what we now have is an interconnected network all over the uk.............. that has so many possibilities for everyone.

Exactly, and that is very empowering and exciting.....
Remember, that there will be an element of trial and error, and that sometimes there will be an element of :wall: but we are all well used to that sort of thing with the debt free journeys we are on, so we are well placed to deal with whatever is thrown at us, and have the ability to succeed at it
well put hypno - and you are right. catching up with all the diaries onhee the one thing i am struck with is the resiliance of the group. a goal once set gets us sometimes plodding, sometimes soaring, sometimes backwards and sometimes having amazing leaps towards it.
i'm fed up being treated like the lowest of the low - now is my time to soar and my time to contribute.

@hypno I must read your diaries, I haven't done because they are so fast moving but just like memorygirl's diary it's clearly worth the time invested for the inspiration and motivation. I do know that you are responsible for the Shred dvd (an exercise regime). People everywhere keep mentioning that!!
Ssssh!!!!!!!! don't wake the elephant in the room otherwise she will have us all committing to excercising everday:D

No, don't read them.......it just talks about putting off housework!!!
You could always just read the first post in each one - that sort of summarises the position on each chapter, but unless you find yourself in traction for 6 weeks with nothing else that you can possibly do, I am sure that you have far more productive things that you can be getting on with!!
but hypno - it has just taken me 40 years to realise that i can't afford to pay ME to do my own housework - if i had followed your example earlier i would be bcak at work now - lol

from little acorns scaredy-cat .......... why not find a beautiful plant to adorn your new table and when it arrives sit in serene splendour with your favourite tipple and imagine the rest of your environement being in a perfect state foryou to happily live in.
This is the equivalent of my mum telling me when the babies were wee - "if all you every get round to clearning in the evening is the bit between you and the telly - thats ok" - funny enough after a while the rest followed.

Thank you all :A:A:A
Yes, got it in bl0ody 1 hypno - as usual
Takes me back to maths 'O' level "If John's Dad is 32 when John is 7, how old is the budgie on the next door neighbour's next birthday?" What?!
Well, I've worked it out and guess what? I'll be earning exactly the same as Miss Fancypants Stockbroker herself! :rotfl:
Not bad for a thicko eh?!
yeah - but ms fancypants stockbroker only worked in the city for three years, started at he desk for 6am and worked till 9pm when she was expected to be one of the boys and go out drinking to the early hours before being back at her desk perfectly groomed.
after a while the alcohol, coffee and stimulants took its toll. she lost a shed load of weight, her hair stared falling out and she developed ulcers. her boyfriend left her for the waitress from their favourite restaurant because he never saw her - so her designer flat in the warehouse conversion was dusty and lonley, the fridge was empty and so was her life.
she was galloping through her prime, no partner, no kids and no fun anymore - when she gets fired for turning down one of her bosses unwanted advances and a whole round of unfair dismissal and sexual harrassment suits are filed.
she loses her job, her flat and the expensive lifestyle that she thought she wanted, discoverred mse, relocated to the country, got a cute cottage with some land, a husband, kids, some chooks ( a breadmaker and slow cooker naturally) and after following a random thread on Debt Free diaries rediscovers her joy of sewing and becaome the Jane asher of the sewing world. reconnecting an entire generation to the joy of beautifully crafted and well fitted clothes. appearing on day-time telly, publishing books and being commissioned for her own ch4 series with auntie gok as the guest presenter.
................... well it could happen:D:D
ok mg - enough coffee for the morning i think:rotfl:
