I ran out the door at work (not that unusual to be fair), sped all the way home, have locked out the dogs for peace to read Mr Big's update and

    and

    and

    WHERE IS IT?

Patience is not one of my virtues

*come to think of it, I seem to lack in the virtue department - vices on the other hand, I do with style :D*

Hope by now you are feeling better MG.

You know when you first have a baby your head is all over the place. Well back in the day when I had my son, you had a benefit book and a child benefit book.

I had just been to the Post Office and drawn out my allowance. I went into a supermarket and was struggling with the pram, when a woman (I thought) went to help me with it. What she was really doing was reaching into my bag which was over the handles and stealing my book and the money I just drew out. She must have followed me from the PO.

I only realised when I went to pay for my goods. My blood ran cold and I was shaking.

I can remember having to report it, then being suspected of pulling a fast one, having no money (bar the CB money which she did not take) and having to use every penny of £200 I had managed to save.

I remember feeling so violated. Well why am I sharing this with you?

Just to say, tough as it was, it all came right in the end and until I saw your sad tale, have not thought of it for about 20 years!

All the best to you MG. You will rise again - I just know it. :)

Seems to me to be a sign of some sort letting go of your dependance on others ( ie idiots with attitudes) and know that you are relying solely on you .... So u now make the decisions and choices in your life ...
  • sorry to hear about tax credits that's poop. I would call back again to speak to someone else and ask them to look through the notes on the system.
And what is this I hear you have stuck, no, no, no. Gamble, why look back in the future only to think "What if". Go for it girl.

Typing on iPhone so not great sorry.

Like clockwork - 7pm and my inbox goes ping!!!

theres a letter from mr big on the blog - and his first piece of homework will be up in a couple of minutes.

its some financial stuff about danger amounts, bigger financial futures and target hourly rates - so before you pop over i'd grab some paper and a calculator.

i've been on the phone or online with him most of the afternoon - and suffice it to say my mind has been well and truly blown :D. talk about a day of highs and lows - and highs again.

i personally have reached the "here but no further" point in my life. i don't know if i will have the strength of will to get back in to work in 50 days at the level he is proposing, but having seen the remarkable offers of support you guys have offered today i am more confident than i have been in such a long time.

enough waffle - go and post the homework memorygirl
