Whiskas complete dry cat food

Options
I need more dry cat food soon as the IMAS I stock piled last time it was on offer in Tesco is nearly gone.

Can anyone tell me how Whiskas complete compares with IMAS please?

My moggies are thriving on IMAS but the Whiskas is cheaper at the moment - is it worth buying Whiskas to save some pennies?

Thanks :-)

personally, wouldnt touch either with a barge pole..both full of rubbish, and not at all good for the cat.

what sort of budget do you have in mind for the cats food?

    Hi Muttleys,

I want something she can eat that won't make her sick like the meat in jelly wet foods or get wasted because she won't eat it.

My kitty loves a mix of science plan and applaws dry food and adores the applaws fish meals.

    Hi Muttleys,

If some food is making her sick then Purina Delicate is a good food to try, I've found it at £15 for a 3kg bag. One of my mogs needs it at the moment but the other 3 are quite happy to eat it too (they actually seem to prefer it) so they are all getting it.

Meowing Heads is a good natural dry food as it is high in meat protein and low in soy protein and fillers, but it might be a bit rich if your cat is having trouble eating wet food. I've also use a mix of Purina One and Hills Science Plan Light if they start getting a bit "cuddly" during the winter, although they avoid the diet food if the normal food is around.

If you could give us an idea of your budget and what foods you've tried there's a lot of people on the bored here that are very knowledgeable and can offer advice.

If something is causing her trouble, ie making her sick, I doubt Iams or Whiskas will do anything but aggravate it, there's so much crap in both. As someone said above, I wouldn't touch either of them with a barge pole.

Pets at home have an offer on right now for their purely range, although I believe it's for today only and online only. It's buy one get one free. their purely range is hypo allergenic and has 40% meat.

Try the pet shops aswell as the supermarkets, they often have offers on, if its better quality you will need less to feed kitty, and they often sell trial size packs if you want to try something new.
Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind.
They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.
  • Iams use wheat rather than rice which is basically rice with 90% of nutrients taken out. Rubbish stuff. Whiskas 4% beaks bones and claws - derivatives.

As mentioned try Applaws 75% meat chicken breast in fact! or try grain free diets Orijen or Acana
Help me to help you :santa2:

Applaws is good, but bear in mind that it isn't a complete food
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.
