    we did cab it there however today as we were mooching around the shops and taking it slow we walked back
    by the time we were done in primark we were practically there anyway so wasnt a problem

    also we ate in la tasca on deansgate yesterday and it was delicious - used the 50% off voucher highly recommend it :)

    Glad you had a good time! I love La Tasca and the one on Deansgate is very good. (Also jealous you got to see Peter Kay! My sister and I can't afford tickets. We're seeing Russell Howard next year instead.)

    Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

    also i cant get over at how lovely everyone was - so friendly and helpful - had so many offers of help and chats with randomers
    not like grumpy southerners who barely even hold open a door for you when pushing a chair in our experience

    think i want to move to manchester now !!!

    Fantastic to hear you had a positive experience! Most people who come to Manchester moan about the traffic and the weather. I must admit - I love our City Centre and yes, some people can be friendly which always makes a difference

    Hmmm yes it's those darn Pennines over to our east. Trapped in a land depression between the coast and the Pennines means that we often get rain when no-one else does!
