    Afternoon all

I'm feeling rather rough today :( all self inflicted!!

I went out with my friend from camp last night plus 2 other friends, and we had a fab night :j I drank a lot!! And we danced a lot :D. I stayed at my friend's flat as it was cheaper than getting a taxi to mine. Didn't get to bed til 4am  woke at 10am feeling rather unwell! After a few painkliiers, a shower and a trip to the all you can eat restaurant for lunch, we all felt a lot better. I got home at 2pm, and had a 2hour nap, so feel more human again now.

Nothing OS today. Need to make pack lunch for tomorrow but that's all.

Hope you have all have a fab bank holiday

Tired-mum - yes I heard on the local news that is was standstill traffic there again today, will be avoiding the place at weekends in future unless I have to go to the mechanics! I gather some people got some good bargains and I guess if I had got a £700 telly for £150 I wouldn't mind sitting in traffic but for the rest of us it was  :rotfl:

    Afternoon all,

Just a quick one from me, still having problems with my laptop, so have borrowed OH's for 5 mins.

Hope everyone is well, and having a good BH weekend.

Marie, I hope Kerry did not get 'caught' last night xx

Will hopefully be back to normal soon x

Essex-girl - Our DS went across to IKEA with his friends earlier today and it took them 2 hours to get across the river at the Dartford Crossing  His friends were going to Great Yarmouth afterwards for a week, so they had to cross anyway!

No OS here today so far :o We went to Bluewater to see if we could get DGS a Chick Hicks car as he's lost his and is upset. No luck though, so we got him a little Mini with a Union Jack on the roof so perhaps that will do instead :D His Mum and Dad are on tenterhooks as they should hear tomorrow whether he's got into one of the schools they wanted or the one just down the road from them which they didn't like.

CRANKY What a lovely photo you posted the other day. :D:eek: at cat getting into bed with your friend!

Having a job getting used to reading the thread again and can't remember what anyone said :o I know there are some new posters though, so WELCOME to you :)
I was going to make spinach and chickpea curry the other day so I bought some spinach, but now I can't find the recipe! I could have sworn it was in my Madhur Jaffrey book but it's not, and I haven't looked at any others just lately so I'm baffled! Today's dinner is Bombay Potato Crispbakes (not HM) and stirfried veg. Tomorrow's will be the spinach and chickpea curry if I can find the recipe :D

Hope everyone has a good evening.:)

    Hi Guys!

Thanks for all the lovely messages and hugs:A....they are warmly welcome:D

Today has been a bit of a blur as I had extra morphine this morning and only came round about 3 hrs ago:o...shameful for a bank holiday.

OH has done a few knee friendly odd jobs around the house that needed doing. DD has been at her friends and has been doing HW and revision for exams this week. Lady came to collect the ironing as the pile was getting too high.

This week I need to sort out finances. Most of our benefits were stopped 2 months ago. Thankfully we are debt free and our out-goings minimal. We cancelled Sky last month as we wasnt watching it, so now have our free view to watch.

We had an Ocado delivery over the weekend as I was sent a £15 off £60 spend. I topped up on meat for the freezer and cupboard stuff. I saved over £40 with the offers and only spent £55:j:j:j

Anyway, I had better go as the nurse is due any minute.

    Take care.

So do I Ruby...she is being very clingy to-day so not sure what that indicates!

Forgot to welcome newbies in my previous post....you will like it here I am sure.

Off out now to take in the clothes that have dried in the wind and sun....sun is still shining, how nice is that!

Hello everyone. Very lazy one today, all I did with my free day was wash my bedding and put it back on the bed (dried that is!). I'm in it now with my namesake, mmmm.

Might be a bit late with this but snoozer, how about a bread and butter pudding? And surely crumpets are a must! I remember some Chinese students asking what a crumpet was, they were doing some kind of survey of what English people eat. Surprisingly difficult explaining what they are to someone who has no idea!
