    Morning everyone :hello:

It's a beautiful day here :j so we'll be packing a picnic and heading somewhere nice. I want to go to the forest but the girlies want the beach so OH has the casting vote when he gets up. ;) I was out at a party last night but my head feels reasonably clear. :o
We had roast chicken last night so chicken sarnies all round today and I'm defrosting some muffins to take with us. Have also taken burgers and lamb chops out of the freezer for a bbq tonight.
Spent most of yesterday in the garden and all the hanging baskets and window boxes are done and look great. All the veg beds seem happy and the greenhouse veg is going mad.
Like you Jackie I feel I have loads to do around here but I also think I have to take a day off with the family and shove the paperwork and others jobs to the back of my mind. House looks ok, ironing is up to date and fridge and freezer are full so not too bad. I'm not off again for another week so I hope it all stays that way. :o
Time for another coffee and a wander round the garden and to feed the hens. Washing machine is nearly finished so the second load can go on the line.

Sorry for the waffly post :D

Hope your back is better soon Taplady.
    Welcome Loopylulu :hello:

  • Morning, I'm new here but thought I would say hello.

DH is cooking curry today so the kitchen will need steam cleaning when he is done:eek:
Our Wii has just just given up the ghost and we can't afford to replace it:(

Hope everyone has a nice day, we were going to have a bike ride but it's chucking it down.

I'm starting to think I should have stayed in bed this morning:rotfl:

Hi longtermlurker! welcome! Regarding your Wii, call Nintendo, they do a fixed price repair, and may be able to sort it out for you for much less than a new one.

    Morning All

    Hi newbies :hello:

Not been posted as had nothing much to say, seems I pulled my back at the beginning of March but didn't realise as symptoms were stiff legs/knees. Due to kidney scare anti-inflamatories been banned as well as the BP tablets that looks it was the culprit. Luckily BP behaving. Legs/Back are another matter. Seen Osteopath and it is a time thing, and just rest and potter!! Feel like I am 90 hobbling every time I get up. Anyway after not managing to get off in the 'van on Thursday and then Friday due to house not being back together as I could hardly help, we are off today down to the Cambridge area. Just a bit fed up with myself, which is not like me at all.

((hugs)) to those really ill, Diva, Pen-Pin, etc. Also to Pen-Pen hope to see you back on the daily, the friendly thread.

Take care and hopefully will be back on next week.

NB - Just helped DH get the caravan from the side of the garage where we park it onto the drive and the heavens have opened:eek::eek:

Oh thanks I didn't know that. Will give them a ring tomorrow. Not sure if I can cope without it, I will have to entertain my children myself:rotfl:

Morning all.....(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one....

Well it may be sunny in Glasgi but it sure isn't here. very cold and started raining just afew minutes ago, so unless it clears sheets etc will have to be dried on the airer.....boo hoo.....

Monday clean done, condensation on the windows so have left them open a bit to clear it, the frames are in bad enough condition as it is....on second thoughts may be I should have left them close!!!

OH mooching around cannot get out into the garden......so following me around asking what he can do......I had to bite my tongue!! He is off bowling this afternoon, so I will have a couple of hours peace.

The gammon last night was delicious, I have enough for tonight and have put 3 packs of sliced gammon in the freezer either for sarnies or a salad, will come in useful when DD1 and SIL come in a couple of weeks. I have a turkey crown in the freezer, I think I might cook that and slice enough for a couple of meals and then slice and freeze the rest. I am going to ask SIL to bring me a leg of lamb from his friend, they buy most of their meat from him.

I made a big pot of lentil soup from the water I cooked the gammon in, so that will go down very well with some HM bread at lunchtime.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

I've stripped the bed & the bedding is in the WM, DW has finished & been unloaded. Darling Buds of May is on all day on ITV3, so that's hubby sorted. I need to do some more work on my sewing room, I need to make room for cutting out as well as sewing & pressing.
    Hugs Hester

Good Morning Chums, well the sun is out in North Kent but I have just put my heating on as I think its a bit chilly at the moment .Probably going to have a bit of a pottering day I think unless something else turns up. Just tidying up some odd drawers and having a gentle throw out of some stuff.I have a bag of stuff to go to the charity shop tomorrow so will be adding to that as I go along.I may make a Victoria sponge cake later if I feel in the mood. I have only got to top a trifle with some custard that I made yesterday late ron as well.No shopping to get as yet so that will be 3rd day of no spending :) I shall also sort out the freezer and see whats in there as revise my list that I have pinned to the outside of it.I updte it every month or so to give me a rough idea of what I've got in there.I brought home some lemon curd from my holiday so if I do some baking I could do a few lemon curd tarts ,or maybe a big one with a lattice across it.I love lemon curd, and I bought it in a small craft shop in Bourton -on -the -water.I also bought some clear runny honey so I amy make some honey cake as well.Just as well utilise my oven as it will be on.
Hope everyone has a nice day even though its not too warm.
    Take care all
