Embarrassing moment No 1.....:o
Went to hospital yesterday for new sleep mask (hole in it keeps blasting cold air in left eye). Complained about poor fit of hose to said mask, complaining that hose keeps falling of mask, which means that I then wake up suffocating...... I have had poor sleep for weeks now.....nurse says 'where's the connection piece?' 'ummm.....' says I.....'which connection piece? Ahhhh! That connection piece, still sitting in the bag, unused, for weeks and weeks (since my last visit to hospital for new hose).........'(half-decent nights sleep last night)
Embarrassing moment No 2......:o:o
Stopped to let a police car u-turn today, being public-spirited and all;)... He says no, no you go on, I'll pull in behind you....... so I go on and he pulls in behind me......then he puts his blues on & pulls me over!!!!!!!!! (I've never sat in the back of a police car before....) Turns out I've been ANPR'd for no insurance!!!
No insurance -me!! I don't think so officer, there must be some mistake.....although there has been a moment recently when I've tried to change my insurance - I was going to change it to another vehicle temporarily.....Oh my! Did I change it or not? Stupid memory can't remember....it's only been 2 weeks......bl**dy sleep apneah ...can't remember anything....
Luckily it turns out it's the insurance company's fault, they haven't updated the database with my renewal from beginning of March. Phew!
20 minutes later, I'm on my way...... thank goodness he didn't look in the boot!!!!!!!;);););););););)
Talk to you all later.....
NotsoI'm not so tired & not so desperate..... mainly thanks to MSEso just call me Notso.....
Yes, I'm juggling and I might drop some.... but at least I'm trying

Hello all,
Just having a wee time-out, and decluttering the last of the grapes. (Thats GRAPES, not FERMENTED GRAPE JUICE!!:rotfl:)JennyJewell wrote: »
Will catch up over weekend - got lots on over the next couple of evenings
Hope no-one minds but I'm after a bit of feedback also please?
I have a choice of two party plan businesses to continue with and I don't know what to pick?
The first is Body Shop - easy to run, well known and lots of incentives
The second is really where my heart is - Neals Yard Remedies - gorgeous products, great ethics and products are all completely chemical freeI use the products and absolutely love them
Body Shop is cheap to run and earnings are easy to achieve
Neals Yard is true to my heart and where my passion really is
Any advice please anyone?longtermlurker wrote: »Drum roll please:D
Pigpen I have cleaned the oven:j:rotfl:
Thanks to whoever recommended Astonish, I got some yesterday and it's brilliant. I can even see through the glass door:T
PenPen welcome back; lovely to see you posting again, I was missing the virtual cakes, as I'm not meant to eat real ones!:D
Carlsberggal I meant to say yesterday, so pleased that you heard from Danny.:T
Thanks, everyone who's commented on Mr LW's possible inheritance. He says he never even knew about the lady (who it turns out, was his very own Auntie Flo!! Well, OK, great-great auntie.)
Anyways, he's emailed his sister, who is also involved; I'm now going to pretty much let him get on with it, other than making sure he replies to communications promptly, (he's the world's worst for "doing it later") and we'll see what transpires.:o
Just got to finish off doing the bathroom, and save the rest of today's spoons for a trundle down to the polling station later - Mr LW will get the wheelchair out as soon as he gets in from work and we'll go then - so I don't anticipate doing the Extras again today.
((((HUGS)))) for those who want/need one today - Toots, Diva, LadyL, and anyone who's not quite up to par or just not happy just now.
ETA Flippin' 'eck Notso I'd have been bricking it if a policeman pulled me over!:eek:Now I understand why Mr LW always scans the insurance poilicy and keeps a copy in the car!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Just taken delivery of my new giftwrap storage box so that's me sorted for this afternoon - good opportunity to be ruthless about what stays.0

Welcome back pp xx

Frodders -I can't believe I got the day wrong...durrrrr!!!! I blame it on the bank holiday though that doesn't explain why it's a day later! I'll try again.....
I can't believe it's Thursday already!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
 LL - big hugs to you hun xx
Tootles - stripes says thanks for your cuddles...she wants me to tell you that she never gets any cuddles here (please don't believe her!!!). Hugs to you xx
So far I have voted, walked the dogs, put a wash on, worked, ordered stuff off vista print and still no cleaning. I'm just going to tint my eyelashes....quite difficult to do on yourself!!!, and then I'm going to wizz round with the vacuum and try and get as much done as possible. So, off to [STRIKE]blind myself[/STRIKE] to tint my eyelashes and then I'll be back to start a HHC xx0 -

You can still do it yourself even though you have been 'tipped off' by a probate firm. It happened a couple of times on the Heir Hunters prog, the heir they traced turned down their services & pursued the claim themselves. I'm not sure how difficult a process it is though TBH.
I really must stop reading the thread & do something!! I am at work after all!!0 -
Flippin' 'eck Notso I'd have been bricking it if a policeman pulled me over!:eek:Now I understand why Mr LW always scans the insurance poilicy and keeps a copy in the car!
I know!!!! I went quietly, he didn't need handcuffs , and he definitely did not show me his truncheon! He was a very nice man, in a lovely uniform
:D:D
I didn't think it was a good idea to keep insurance docs in the car, in case of theft....ID and all that?I'm not so tired & not so desperate..... mainly thanks to MSEso just call me Notso.....
