    Morning everyone

a bit dull at the moment but might brighten up - thats if the sun can get through the ash cloud again!!! what a shame for all the people trying to fly away on hols.

lots of catch ups as I didnt get them done last night so just ignire me if its out of date:rotfl:

Triker thats bad news about the bullying but I am glad the school is supportive - I hope the people concerned realise what misery they have caused (((hugs)))) for DD2 and I hope she will come through it ok. (((hugs))) for you re the oven - have you tried googling for a reapir agent? Try not to get toooo down about it as you dont want to trigger your illness with the stress - I know thats easy for me to say but I am sure you know what i mean anyway - loads of love xx what about trying to get some stuff on ebay this weekend since its a free listing and it would go towards the cost of the repair?

p.s. got my MP3 player problem sorted - it turned out the problem was the USB 2 unit not the MP3 player.4.gif
Aunty thats brilliant - glad it wasnt anything too major:T:T
Dedicated have you an attic that you could put your 'winter' clothes in? or failing that what about the vacuum bags - putting the bulkier things in flat and vacuum pack them - perhaps get them under the bed then? I used to put some stuff in these zip-up clothes protector cover thingys which kept them together at pne end of the wardrobe - not as good as vacuum packing them put did keep them neater and together.
MrsChaos - belated Happy Birthday to your young man!! hope the head wound hasnt given you a black eye and it isnt too sore - also i hope you get the car back ok
natty (((hugs))) and I am glad you have realised you were doing too much - you must pace yourself honey (pot kettle black .....I know:rotfl:) make sure you get plenty rest - maybe do alternate days at your friend's house so that you can rest inbetween. You made me chuckle with your tales about the birds ...thank you xx
juliejim well done with the bike ride :T- now you know what my legs feel like:rotfl:!!!!
mummyyof5 you can also get it from kleeneze/betterware books
FFP hi honey xx I bet it was the couch - get OH sorted and get that room done - no way should you be sleeping on the couch - you need a peaceful relaxing haven of rest!!!! (((hugs)))
frugalzzz I hope you DD is coping a bit better about Dh being away bless her - and yes what a star your Dad is - I bet he loves being there to look after you and 'help'!!!
thifty (((hugs))) for celebrating and keeping up the tradition for your MUm
DietCokeBreak we have all had mad cleaning days before visitors - you are in good company but if you keep trying to chip away at the list and do a little as often as you can you will find that you are far more in control and dont panic when people are coming.
Graaaaaaan are you still grinning? take care lovely - we dont want you worrying your self sick and neither would Danny - make sure you are eating and sleeping properly (((hugs)))
macpep of course Mummys are allowed to be sick and its time you looked after yourself - if you are still working and looking after everyone as normal and nursing a bad throat you will just make it worse - I hope the doc gives you something to clear it up - in the meantime have a bit of rest - the house is tidy so look after yourself for a change (((hugs)))
dizzyanne in case you havent sussed it already the next day's list is posted to post 1 the evening before - they are in a different order every week. Dont try to do it all at once or you will soon get fed up and burnt out - work away at the lists for a couple of weeks and see how it can be worked into your routines at home/work etc.
nuttyrockeress nice to see you back - hope you are feeling better today.
lamewolf hope you are also feeling better today and fingers crossed for DH's surprise inheritance
Radish what a lovely compliment about your home - well done - I hope it sells quickly for you - and another poorly lady - get well soon wishes for you too
piggers I hope squeak behaved last night and you got a better sleep

Pen Pen xxx its lovely to see you back - I missed you (((hugs)))

xxJoxx and it s lovely to see you too angel - I guessed youwere busy with Mum so didnt want to bother you but i did miss you XXXX I know you get on well with your Mum so I can understand you wanting to have her with you but what about your plans and dreams of moving to London? would that still be possible - the 3 of you? Maybe it would make it more feasible as she might be able to help with LO? Hope Mum has made a good recovery. (((hugs)))
Mudders lovely to see you old bean:rotfl: hugs for you and cuddles for stripes xx
Jenny sounds like it should be Neals as that is where your heart isd - its always easier to sell something you believe in
Diva hope you are ok - havent seen you for a little while (((hugs)))
liuhut Happy Birthday have a lovely day xx
AnW'sMum hope the Big Boss's visit went well
longtermlurker you must have needed that sleep - hope you feel refreshed - fairy cakes are very popular - nought wrong with doing them - and when the oven has cooled a bit its a good time to wipe it out:p ETA :T:T:T:T well done cleaning the oven - now get yourself into the habit of wiping it after you use it and it will never be a problem again - oh and get some oven liners too.
Aunty hope your throat gets easier and doesnt turn into a cold
carol well done with the exams - your hard work always gets you through them (((hugs)))
holly glad to hear that you are getting good support

Paint bought for the bedroom.. and a lightshade.. the wallpaper we want we need to pick up later from the other B&Q as it was out of stock at the one we went to! We are using the paint I had in the shed which I bought 5 years ago for the front room and never used.. it is poo brown! We are having completely different wallpaper to the one we chose anyway.. which will be better with the red nothingness we are no longer having.. though I may buy a red carpet.. :D

There were some lovely fake suede curtains which I now have my beady eye on.. to match new new lightshade..

    So..

I bought 2 tins of paint and a lightshade.. OH.. I got some bronze paint for the radiator.. :D.. I am getting a curtain pole from Dunelm later and the paper from B&Q and maybe the curtains too.. I need to measure the window!

Off to meet my friend for dinner.. I've not seen her for about 8 weeks so I'm in for a heap of ribbing about tummy size!

The physio appointments are through for the girls.. 14th June so not too far off.. and I need to request the 2 littlies have proper ankle braces because I cannot find boots that are properly supportive anywhere and tiddles walking is horrendous again.. even though I am forever tightening her boots.. even her teacher commented the other day on how bad her walking is.

Oh, it's def turning into a cold -however I've been and voted, got essentials so no need to go out again till Sat morning and don't intend to do anything above a gentle flutter. Why does something as trivial as a cold make you feel so lousy?
and guilty - I met a friend who is about to start another round of radio therapy - puts anything else into perspective :o

    Afternoon all,

PenPen great to see you back - fab cakes!

jennyj Speaking for myself I wouldn't buy stuff from the Body Shop. I sent my loyalty card back to them in disgust when they were bought by Loreal.

Lamewolf congrats on your possible future windfall. The Heir Hunter type firms always take a percentage for themselves, but you can do it for yourself & cut out the middle man.

DW emptied, kitchen surfaces cleaned, washing in TD. I think I'll do the washing up and hoover downstairs, and then I'd better start getting myself sorted out for the afternoon, as I have meetings 2-4 and have to be at the station for 4.30 really...
