  • I have a 'tubby bath re enamelling kit' lurking in the cupboard somewhere. Never got around to using it, but it cost around £35 plus p&p. Maybe that kind of thing would work.

Wouldn't Vim/Ajax work for the bath rather than Colgate?

been a bad day in toots land today - had hosp appt today so had to arrange a 7.30 carer - pick up due 830-900 - 9.20 no sign so i phoned hosp "yes transport has been arranged - it says so on the computer - they are probably delayed" - by 10 I phoned again (appt was at 9.50!) "just let me check again - yes you arranged when you were here 2 weeks ago (yes I did!) oh wait a minute the paperwork is still here - it hasnt been booked but had been updated on the computer" - so no appt - so took myself to Cornhill - got everyone in a tizz because i wasnt meant to be there!!! but it worked out in the end. went to Mr A to hand in a prescription - bought one or 2 treats etc - no card at the till - came home got my card went back and got shopping - fine but knackered then choked having my tea:eek: I think it was a combination of being tired and not swallowing properly and talking to the carer! MY throuat has been irritated a bit tonight but I am ok!
:mad::mad::mad: at hospital for not looking after toots properly
Now please be careful and don't overdo it again
Hugs and I hope your throat is better in the morning

p.s. got my MP3 player problem sorted - it turned out the problem was the USB 2 unit not the MP3 player.4.gif

    Debt-free and Proud!
Hi all, barely hanging in there, Dh away on business until Friday, Dad visiting to help me, but requiring a huge amount of looking after in his own way.

Between the school run and my full time job, I am *just* about managing to FLY. I even managed a 20 min Hotspot challenge on my bookcases.

It's tough going, but I'm sticking with it. Sorry about the lack of comments, I'll try to catch up tomorrow.

    Night all xx

no, it just scratches it as it is too abrasive

Hi again everyone - just home from work and grabbed a quick meal and tried to catch up. Thanks for your message toots and thanks also to everyone who has offered advice and made me feel welcome. Pleased to say letters are now sorted :T Now I just need to keep on top of the system.

I feel like I'm cheating a bit this week as I have somehow decided to tackle as many hotspots as possible thus making next weeks deep cleaning seem lots easier.

I am asking for advice again :o One of my major drawbacks in keeping on top of things is my clothes - I have a relatively small wardrobe which is full and definitely needs a 27 fling (hope I've got that right). I have decluttered my wardrobe lots of times following the rules of - if it doesn't fit, it has to go, if you've not worn it for 6 months, it has to go - so need a new way of looking at this and if anyone has any suggestions I'd be grateful. In my wardrobe I store all my coats and jackets too - some I have had over 10 years and still wear now and would be silly just to get rid of the things I still love and wear as they'd just need replacing. These are quite bulky items obviously.

Thanks to everyone for running this thread and I'm looking forward to joining in a bit more

I think the soda crystals question that this started with was about cleaning the oven... withouth damaging the bath

    [STRIKE] Evening[/STRIKE] Morning all!

Don't know how I managed to waste most of the evening. Got a lift to work from a friend and struggled to get going all day. Meeting 2-4, then hit my head on colleague's car door as she was offering me a lift to the station. Cut my eyebrow and now look a complete mess. Walked down into village to collect DS2 and back home with him (should have car back on Thursday after decluttering £400 ). Sorted papers for DS1 after a cuppa and a break, fed everyone, read with DS2 and put him to bed, then read a bit of the thread (too much, really - will only allow myself one page in future) while DH ironed. Decided to have a short nap while he went out, which turned into a proper 2-hour sleep. No work for school done as a result and I'm now way behind with stuff.
Still need to write DS1's birthday card - can't believe he's 16 today - and then I'm off to bed. Not much done off the lists and I haven't even made him a cake yet. :( Can't promise to do better tomorrow, but I'll try.
