I was also wondering about my security and did what you said and got WPA2-PSK. Does that mean my neighbours can't get my Internet. Many thanks
Simply checking that the security is set to WPA2 is not enough! You must ensure you change the default WPA2 password/key. The reason you must do this is because many routers have a security flaw whereby the default key is calculated based on the MAC address and SSID. Both of these pieces of information are available to anyone that wants them within range of the device. This means even with WPA2 default security, many people are still vulnerable.
I agree with the post about changing your channel to one that is different to everyone else around you. This however has nothing to do with security, the benefits of doing this are your wireless network should perform better due to less or no other communication taking place on the new channel.0 -

I said to do this because, reading the previous posts, it was apparent that it wasn't so much a case of other users on the OP's network, but rather that there are a large number of networks in the immediate vicinity. Inssider will identify which wireless channels these are operating on so the OP can move their wireless channel away from the others and help cut down the interference that will impact on their internet performance over the wireless connection...
