Skittish, I would suggest this is the wrong place to be calling people who claim benefits scroungers...

I've not been diagnosed with rauynards but I do have problems with my circulation.. If your hands are so cold they are numb how are you supposed to hold a saucepan? Or a kettle?! Not being able to do these things means that you can't cook a full meal and therefore qualify for lower rate care.

Having had Raynauds for over 25 yrs ,I do know what its like !
But if I have been on the verge of needing an amputation and on heart tablets can hold down a job then I have every right to my opinion of those who use it as an excuse !

And its 'scroungers' who make life difficult for those who really need DLA!!!

Then maybe you'll understand that disability is different for everyone. Just because you manage without help; doesn't mean others do.

Yeah ,I could choose not to cope and claim too ;)
I couldn't live with myself though ,if me claiming might mean things are made more difficult and some poor person with some crippling disability and very poor quality of life have a hard time getting a claim through because of too many free loaders .But then I have a conscience ;) !

I've also been a sufferer for 25 years.
    Horrible pain at times.
Nothing compared to those who have it so badly that their fingers and toes are ulcerated.
Then I could well imagine that one would fit the criteria for DLA.
I can't imagine the excruciating pain of trying to dress oneself with ulcers on every finger.

    Skittish;

Please don't judge so harshly - there are benefit scroungers around of course, but when you are not in full possesion of the facts regarding an individuals state of health you are in danger of kicking a man when he's down.
A person with a concience would surely not want to do that.

PS A glass of ginger wine each day and ginko biloba through the winter seems to help me!

I wonder if acupuncture would help this condition?

You may be able to get it free on NHS, some GPs are trained and some physios. I'm getting it at the moment for arthritis in my wrist.

    May be worth enquiring about.

    :j Hi im freeezzzing cold

I have rauynards in my hands feet & tip of my nose.I just cant warm up :(

Anyone else suffering with this? If so how do you keep warm?

    tjc :)

My daughter has it bad. It affects her toes the most and she`s had to have treatment in hospital with iloprost infusion and at times has had to take morphine because of her toes ulcerating. I`ve bought my daughter genuine ugg boots and they have made a difference.
