We were looking at going to the Big Tent as part of the "we must start doing stuff together" that DH & I have started - so we probably will go - but just for the one day

Must check out what music is on - And Salsa Celtica are brilliant

  • oh yay - everyone is coming!!!

We should make Big Tent the next OS meetup! Here is the link for those who don;t know anything about it - http://www.bigtentfestival.co.uk/

clooties mum we have just started doing that too. Have you had a look at the meetup website? They are brill, they have loads of links to groups that you can pop along to and meet new people. Admittedly the couple we have been to, we met most odd people, but we live in hope. :)

Swan - are you a KC fan? OH has every single album of his ever and we're quite good friends with the gang. Have you ever been to the Homegame in Anstruther? It's a mini festival where Fence take over the whole town for a weekend. Amazing fun.

jackieglasgow - you must come! There will be many free samples - I insisted that OH give out treats, as I hate listening to people talking about scrummy food and then not coming up with the goods. Bread is all very well, but cakes are where it's at.

Mini meet at Big Tent sounds good - although I'm not really an OSer - just would like to be :o

And just had a wee look at the meetup website - ooooerrr missus - not sure about them.....
DH & I are sad people - we love just chilling & spending time together - siting out the back with a glass of wine & putting the world to rights is nice. Watching the dogs & the chooks play together, watching wee birdies land, find worms & then bog off again is nice. Simple pleasures.
And we love travelling - one day we will buy the motorhome of the big fu**er type & then drive off into the sunset.
We're not old, both work full time (or I will when the doctor signs me back again) and take life as it comes - althougit has come at us with a vengeance over the last few years.

But I digress - Big Tent here we come - I heard the word samples - although I would limit them as MSErs & samples may bankrupt you

    hi dj,
I've only ever seen KC at Aviemore, & he was excellent :T

no I've never been to the Homegame, sounds like great fun :)

I love Anstruther, I used to stay with a freind in Crail for a week most summers & we'd always get on the bus head there for our fish suppers :D

OS mini meet at the Big Tent sounds like a good plan. I can bring the OH and the kids, and dump them! :rotfl:

are we still wearing safety pins as ID? & are we dressing up or going as ourselves? :D

I'd better dress up a wee bit, a friend (no really) recently told me that I usually look as if I'm wearing clothes to paint the house in :o combats & Crocs (& anyway, I don't want to start a Croc controversy war :p)

do any of us know one another's real names? I only know one & she's not coming now

Perhaps we could establish some kind of creche for OH's and children!

Hope the weather is lovely - it was gorgeous last year. Make sure you get there early though, I slept in and had to park what felt like 20 miles away in flipflops. Got to where everyone was, and they realised I'd forgotten the ONE THING that OH had asked me to bring.

Cue loooooong walk back to car and grumpy dj.

swan - anstruther fish and chips..... mmmmmmmmm. You should come to the next homegame, it's so much fun. All the bands play in tiny little venues and there is a tea room with tea and scones on proper china. Love it!

Clooties mum - some of the groups are a bit , but it gets us out and about as the house is a bit of building site and stresses me. There are some VERY odd people around though.

Good point Swan - I have no sensible ideas - but I was named after Miss Hepburn but I'm afraid I look nothing like her.

I live about a mile and a half from the Palace so even parking @ ma wee hoose would leave you a bit of a walk (although it's what we are going to do so we can socialise if the mood takes us ) but if you're stuck, the offer's there.
