Just be aware when using the works LAN that you maybe subject to the same T&C as if you were using the works computer :o

Not an issue for me as it's our department that manages the WiFi connection and it's got the same firewall restrictions and the WAN so we can't access anything dodgy. We have full admin rights to our Laptops and are pretty much allowed to do what we want with them so long as we don't have any !!!!!! or cracked software on our machines we can install what we want. One of the the advantages of working in IT.

Im pretty sure orange "unlimited" is more than 500mb. They advertise internet as 500mb on the cheaper contracts then on the dearer its "unlimited"

Orange are adamant that you will be charged if you exceed 500Mb - but to be fair they no longer advertise it as unlimited

The frightening thing is the amount £3 per Mb so if you use twice our limit that will be £1500 please !

Orange plans come with 2 types of data bundles. Dolphin and Racoon plans come with 500mb included. This is a hard cap. You can upgrade this to a unlimited bundle(fup 1gb) for a extra £5.00 pm. The Panther plans come with a unlimited plan which has a fup of 750 mb.

id ask orange what would happen, ive read on here that people have gone over the fup and not been charged but have been sent a letter saying they have gone over the limit but ive not asked orange the question as ive not got a desire yet, if you have wifi at home then you could use that to save on your usage limit

I have the Voda 500mb package on my Nexus One, I use it a reasonable amount but according to my bill I only used about 230mb's worth which was surprising. The 500mb isn't a hard limit, but a fair use policy anyway according to reps on Voda's own forum.

I have 3G Watchdog installed to keep track of things myself as well.

I have gone over Oranges FUP a few times using about 3 GB. Have not heard a thing from them. So I would think you would have to go well over month after month to get a warning letter.
One of my friends is a Vodafone business customer. They do a great data plan for business customers. £15.00 for 5 GB.
