Thanks, I do think she will understand, because she's a good friend, but I just feel awful letting her down. But I think it's better to do it now than have to let her down right at the last minute if I really can't walk.

Just had to get it off my chest really as I'm feeling very guilty about it.

Hi, I just wanted to say I am SURE that she will understand. I am being a bm for my best mate a few months after having our first baby, and because of this (and finances) I can't do the (weekend) hen do, and some of the other Very Important Bridesmaid stuff...I felt terrible but she totally understood. Just think if it was the other way round... I am sure you would be fine if your friend was struggling with something and had to say no...

Good luck with the DFW pregnancy - how exciting!! x

PS I'm due in 3 weeks and 5 days- woo hoo!

Thanks, yes if it was the other way round I would just tell her I understood and not to be so silly worrying about it :o, so I'm really hoping she will be the same. If I thought she would be a cow about it, I suppose I wouldn't care as much because I wouldn't value the friendship as much.

    Hi snaggles
Just wanted to say keep the 2500 points and treat yourself the huggies bag isn't worth the £25. Infact I am almost sure that I have one you could have I will have a look when I get home!

I did think about doing that actually :D

Maybe not to treat myself (okay, a little bit of it to use as a treat), but maybe use it to buy other stuff and then buy a cheaper bag elsewhere - or just use the one I got with my pram (it's a bit bulky but quite good).

Anyway, either way, I'm really pleased - Boots are nice aren't they!

Edit - I hadn't realised you had made it to being debt free - well done you!!

    Hey Snaggles,
My one and only post (on your thread-weaning myself gradually, lol) until later tonight once all important jobs are done. I have been useless for the past week and I now have at least 6 loads of laundry to do! AH!

I was talking to a friend yesterday feeling crap about being so useless and she pointed out to me that if I was not self-employed I would have had time off with stress for a job and been able to recoouperate-as it is, I still have not had a day off since Jan...*sigh*

I hope you're ok! Just reading post and I'm sure friend will be ok-My SPD cleared up almost completely after DS! Strange isn't it?

    Hi Bunny :hello:

I'm trying to be good and get 'stuff' done today too - already done the shopping (yep, actually left the house - woo!), tea is sorted (just needs bunging in the oven & the brocolli sticking in the steamer), may even get a bit of dusting done!

Your friend is right - go a bit easier on yourself, you're doing really well.

I think SPD normally does clear up after the birth, trust me to do it all the wrong way round lol :D I couldn't walk properly for at least 6 months afterwards last time, was in a wheelchair to start with, then on crutches - fingers crossed it's not so severe this time. I've written on my birth plan (yes, I've finally done it!) that I don't want to lie on my back with my legs apart to give birth, so hopefully that will help (if I'd refused to do that in the first place though, I wouldn't be in this situation now ;):D).

Have a good day, hope you get lots done xx
