I'm back in 2 weeks. DD is fine, just full of phlegm (NIce! Add that too cottage cheese sick, poo and vomit-being a Mom is so much fun)
I'm having a wonderful time on a whole and DH and I were even discussing moving back... Not sure if it'll ever happen...

My mom is stressing me out a bit-she is very much like Edie on Ab-Fab-always onto some new diet/craze whatever. She's going 'all natuarl' at the minute and told me yesterday she doesn't believe in sun protection and that we shouldn't use it on the kids! DH almost laughed so hard he puked. (This coming from the woman who has had skin cancer removed twice, lol) She also doesn't agree with me giving the kids milk-she keeps trying to give them almond or rice milk. niiiiccceeee. Not gonna happen!

Anyhoo, she is a nutter...Where do you think I get it from?

Oooh thanks, that would be great if you don't mind - shall I pm you my address? We do use Pampers although when we don't have vouchers we stick to Boots own brand, as they're much cheaper!

    Well, I've been a bit lazy in updating this haven't I? :o

To be honest, it's just been a case of life slowly getting back to 'normal' after the baby, so there's not been much to tell, money-wise OR baby-wise, but I'll do a quick update of what's been happening, and then I'll tell you about the fab bit of money-saving I did yesterday.....

    QUICK UPDATE:

Me and Stu - it all went a bit , but now it's more :).

Ryan - also went a bit , but now is behaving :A - he got an award at school this week, was star of the day on Friday, has got all his spellings right for the last 3 weeks, such a relief after a rough few weeks with him after Natasha was born.

Natasha - also being a little :A , sleeping through the night, smiling lots, growing like you wouldn't believe. She's still not grown into the reusable nappies, but the breastfeeding is going well so I'm still managing to save loads of money there. Still battling my Mum and MIL about the breastfeeding though - now MIL says I can't possibly be producing enough milk to fill her and should stop being mean and put her on formula.....

Money - Now on SMP, so money is tight, but we're managing quite well due to finding loads of ways to cut back and getting some tax credits, which we didn't expect (wooo!).

    Think that's about it! :rotfl:

Nearly forgot my epic money-saving trip to Boots....

    I bought:

New Avent Isis breast pump - £39 (the one I had for Ryan has broken) - this included a brilliant carry case that will fit a bottle plus a couple of nappies, small pack of wipes and a disposable changing mat - so great for short journeys/trips to the shops etc when I don't want to take a big changing bag.....but it is also an exact match for my bigger changing bag that was very kindly donated by a fellow DFW (you know who you are :A :T)

2 large packs of Boots Nappies - £8

Bottle warmer £9 - I love this already - means I can express milk, which stays fresh in my travel case (see above) for up to 12 hours, and then I can heat it to a lovely warm temperature in about 15 minutes. It doesn't need to be plugged in, it's just got a disc that you click and it warms up.

Couple of other bits & pieces £3

    Total £59

    BUT

    I had:

    £10 Boots voucher from Pigsback
£45 in Advantage points (you might remember I got £25 of these when I complained to Boots about a Huggies changing bag voucher they sent me that ran out really soon after I received it) - I used £39 of these so still have £6 left to spend
£10 Boots voucher left from my leaving present from work (finally finished using these!)

So actual cost to me - £0!!!!
Don't you just love shopping when it doesn't actually cost anything!! :T :T :T

Well done you and MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than I have done today.

We could not decide on new sofa's (me) or a new carpet (miserable bollox) so we compromised and bought a HDTV :o
