Still battling my Mum and MIL about the breastfeeding though - now MIL says I can't possibly be producing enough milk to fill her and should stop being mean and put her on formula.....

Tell her you're producing enough for hubby too. That'll shut her up.

The display is going on my laptop :(

It's flickering and looking decidedly dodgy. I think 'someone' has dropped it and not owned up, because there's a little crack on the back of it and the screen click as it opens and closes.

Arrrggghhhhh....what am I going to do????

We've got a pc, but it's tucked away in our bedroom, so we rarely use it.....I definitely wont be able to prop it on the bathroom windowsill and post whilst cleaning the bath.

First of all - dig the monitor out, and get it connected to the laptop and make sure you get get it to operate. It's a lot easier to find out what your're doing wrong when everything is working that when it is not. You don't need the internal display to work the laptop.

Second - does it flicker when you flex the crack? If it does, then glue a strengthening piece across the crack - like a lolly stick or a bit of plastic to take the strain.

Use epoxy resin rather than superglue - it works much better.

Lol...that really WOULD shut her up hahaha!

The laptop is behaving again now, strangely, but I'll take your advice and stick something over it to strengthen it, thanks.

Thanks for that Jammy, it was a really interesting read, and actually put my mind at rest about some of the things I worry about (ie feeling like I haven't got much milk towards the end of the day).

I don't know why she sleeps so well, but I'm just enjoying it!!! :D

I've expressed some milk this morning because Ryan has asked if he can feed her........  .....will let you know how THAT goes!! :rotfl:

No problems Snaggles, At least now you can correct your MIL!! And if it puts your mind at rest thats fabulous!!

The pic of Ryan feeding Natasha is soooooooooo cute!!! She looks like shes doing really well!!

    Hey Snaggles!
    How's Natasha getting on?
IGNORE MIL over breast milk-they are of another generation where formula was considered the best option. My friends MIL told her that her milk was 'off'- like it had an expiry date lol

    Afternoon!

I got a recorded delivery letter this morning (accidentally flashed my boobs at the postman in the process of signing for it, but have already confessed all on another thread so wont go into THAT again :rotfl:).

It was from work - as part of my 'benefits package' I get store vouchers each quarter (Asda), used to get £270 a quarter, which would pay for one months shopping out of three. I didn't think I would get them while on mat leave, but apparently I do.....and they've gone up!! I've just got £330 of Asda vouchers....woohoo!

They'll more or less pay for this months shopping and petrol, so I should be able to put some of our normal 'shopping' money into an account to get my 'save up to pay off the car loan' fund underway! Yipeeeeee!!

Right, I have a box of stuff for eBay in the bottom of our wardrobe, which has been there for months. I really need to get on with listing them, and the Asda voucher thing has given me a bit of motivation to get on with things.

So by Friday, I intend to at least have made a start on listing some of the items....and I need a real kick up the backside from you guys if I haven't done it! :D
