The milk machines are fine thanks Bunny - much less 'engorged' (that's a horrible word isn't it lol) this morning!

Jammy - the poo is more yellow today, but I'll make a note of what I've eaten if it goes green again, and see if I can see a pattern. Hope it's not the vodka! ;)

I had a weird thought this morning whilst sitting here thinking about money. If you spent £5 a week on formula, and the baby has nothing but milk for 6 months, that's £130. So on that basis, my boobs are currently worth £65 each hahaha! :D I wonder if you can insure them? :rotfl:

Oh, I got my final tax credit thingy for '06 - '07, and we only owe them £112 now (overpayment from ages ago), which will be taken from this years award - so I've paid off a debt without even realising it! I haven't had a new award notice, hope that means the one I've already got is correct.

Hmmmm, got my tax credits award notification today, and it's changed - it's still okay though, but not sure WHY it's changed. Even with our income for last year coming in slightly higher, the overpayment amount didn't change - we owe £112 still. And our income for THIS tax year is the same as we told them last week, but the amounts they are going to pay us are different.

Not to worry though, as it's still more than I expected to get, although confusingly the amounts are going to change throughout the year - we'll get:

    06/06/07 - £25.59
    20/06/07 - £101.55
    Then every 4 weeks until 15/08/2007 - £100.40
    12/09/07 - £131.02
Then every 4 weeks until further notice - £133.86

Then in April '08 it will drop to £88.81 per week, although that wont be right as I'll be back at work, so my income will increase and I'll also have childcare to pay for, so I'm not even going to think about that!

Do they make it purposely so complicated that you can't work it all out and check it for yourself???!!!

Forgot to say that as we've budgetted for living without any tax credits at all, we're going to follow the Immoral Angel debt repayment plan, and try and put as much of the tax credits aside as possible to go towards paying off the car loan.

There is a simple answer to your question Snaggles and that is YES!!

We have had different notices on the same day - INDIVIDUALLY - they drive me nuts - I have had many an overpayment run in with them and appealed more than once!!

The latest award said we only owe about £60 so I really cant be @rsed - :rotfl:

I too have taken some IA insperation (I hope) and plan to pay ALL bills with my wage - live of tax credits and save OH JSA. I am soooo determined to get those new bl00dy windows - fingers crossed for us ;);)

Yep that tax credit bain of my life...it's imp[ossible to work out what you should or shouldn't have ...according to them I was overpaid £4600 over the years...I pay them £10 p/m now...but really should go to CAB as I don't know how they ever came to that figure!!!...it's good that you can pay the extra off the car loan every little helps...

Lol, I've just added it up and it's almost exactly the same overall amount as the original award, but it's just broken down differently.

We had new windows a couple of years ago - best thing we ever did to our house! Mind you, the old ones were so rotten they virtually fell off every time you tried to open them. They were the first 'big thing' we ever saved up for and paid for outright. We probably should have paid off some debt instead, but it would have been mighty cold in our house with no windows!

We went with Safestyle though - what a pain in the bum they are! We just kept saying 'no' until they gave us a decent price, and then they kept trying to get extra money out of us for this, that and the other....did they really think we would fall for that? Idiots!

Maybe we should think of it as that holy grail of DFW.... an interest free loan :rotfl:
