Natasha has been sooo active over the last few days, I thought babies were supposed to move less towards the end, but she's gone into overdrive, and I'm constantly seeing feet and hands poking and prodding under my skin. I'm starting to feel like she will burst out through my stomach, a la 'Alien' rather than coming out of the usual exit! :D

    Hi Snaggles

Just read this and it sounded familiar. The baby may have turned so she is in the 'back to back' position. Basically her hands and feet are now facing the outside of your tummy so it feels like a boxing match is taking place in there. Might be worth asking your midwife? My daughter went like this and it tends to mean that they get comfortable and you go overdue. Often they turn around during labour if not before but my daughter stayed that way and was born nose up (which is quite unusual apparently). Anyway, I may be completely wrong but if this is the case, spending lots of time on all fours can help them turn again ;)

Sorry if you already know all of the above.

    Hi Hun

Hope you are feeling better. Morgan didn't quieten down before I had her !!!

Also I had a dodgy tummy 3 weeks before having her so they took me in to check I was ok and then couldn't send me home because I was 4cm dilated !!

If you still feel rough get yourself checked out.

Sorry to hear you were feeling bad snaggles, it sounds truly horrible! I hope that such things are a sign that Natasha's going to make an appearance soon... at least then they serve a purpose, IYKWIM?!

I hope wherever you've gone has been enjoyable and your laptop is intact when you return :rotfl:

I've heard its a much more painful birth if they're back to back, so I'll make sure I spend plenty of time on all fours (hubby has suddenly perked up at that! :rotfl:)

The position of the kicks hasn't changed though, it's just that there are more of them, so hopefully she's still in a good position (she was 4/5 engaged a few days ago), but DS was late so there's a good chance that she will be too. Ah well....... :o

Hi Kath, haven't seen you around for a while, hope you're okay?

The most annoying thing was at this stage you expect to go through loads of pain and then have a baby at the end of it....but I went through the pain and got NOTHING lol! Had two strong tightenings at the supermarket (that's where hubby was in such a rush to get to :)) but none since I got home, so I think she's just taunting me, the little monkey :D

I never even thought to get myself checked out....should have done really I suppose, but she's still wriggling around in there, so I presume everything is okay......can't believe you got to 4cm dilated without realising, that's great!

I'm fine thanks, combination of being busy and not having much to say :o ... still avidly reading though! I've had a few people say that lately actually, maybe I should post an update!

I'm off for a walk in the sunshine but will be back later x
