Various 6 packs of branded drinks: Pepsi, 7 up, etc.
Pepsi 6 X 330ml cans multipack = 1980ml = £1.06 = 53.5p per litre !
Sure, though I did say "excluding special offers". If you include special offers, also at Lidl:
Pepsi 2l bottled = £0.79 = 39.5p per litre
Don't get me wrong, I actually prefer cans myself, I'm just wondering how manufacturers/shops can justify multipacks of cans being so much more expensive than the same amount in a bottle...0 -

To be fair, cans do cost a lot more, not only to produce; but to fill, pack and handle. The cost of the liquid in the container is probably the cheapest part of the whole package.
Of course, they also recognise that people will pay more for "convenience" and can you blame them for making a bit more on the strength of that as well ?0 -
Packs of ready to use stir fry vegetable mix. The guy who thought that one up probably got some sort of industry award. Just the thing for using up all the cabbage stalks and damaged veg lying around, then put a premium price label on it.
Pre prepared veg of any kind, like diced onions or carrot batons. Gets worse when they get put in a special bag with the word "microwavable" on it. What's wrong with using a knife and a microwavable plastic box?
Flavoured chicken wings, for the BBQ. These are not food, these are lumps of skin and bone covered in salty chemical flavouring mix.Val.0 -

But if you are cooking for one or two you can get a big variety (just what you need for a stirfry) of different veg for £1-£1.50. Cheaper than buying them all seperatly if you only want a small portion.0 -

Or if you like stir fry (I do!) most stores do 3 for £2.50 which works out to 83p a box which is already prepared and all I need to do is stir fry with some meat/fish/nuts. Still seems like a good deal to me, as far as convenience packets go these are by far the most expensive.
Now the melon slices- they are over priced: a quarter of a melon, not even cut from the skin properly and for up wards of £1.50?! An entire melon itself is only £1 or £2 at the most- and they taste sweeter!0 -
Fizzy Vimto has lost its fizz. Bought 2 bottles for £1.50 and its not got the kick it once had .
Me & hubby are now not buying any branded stuff that looks too cheap !0 -
Surely if you're talking about considering the ingredients, it's Candy Floss, or even that whipped milk ice-cream?Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?0
