Apart from takeaway food what food item is the worst value for money?
I think bought sandwiches are poor value comparing the price of them with the ingredients used.

Anything on any of the low cost airlines!
Any ready meals.. especially mash potatoes, cauliflower cheese etc... I am always so surprised that people actually buy these things!Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -

Hello All
I would say biscuits flapjacks and victoria/plain sponge cakes and muffins. HM taste better, have no artificial additives, and flour, marg, sugar etc are reasonably priced and last ages. This means you can make lots more for the price of a shop bought cake.
Trouble is - OH loves HM cake/ biscuits - so i would say that HM lasts less time because they get eaten quicker:)
