    Hi SRM!

    What you been up to?

Getting totally trollied and making a fool of myself in front of mates I haven't seen in 20years...when will I ever learn??
I collared a mate who has left his Mrs for the proverbial younger model, he was standing with said YM,and I looked her up and down and said "Wasn't worth leaving you wife for.."!!Oops,tact isn't my strong point when I've had a few...I even managed to do the old trick of locking myself out of the room stark naked....went for a wee in the night, and instead of going left into the bedroom, managed to open the door on the right and shut it behind me...luckily DH wasn't completely comatose and let me in after about 30secs..........longest half minute of my life....
    Debt-free...and staying that way...

Just the binging/purging thing.....it's the only thing that seems to work, and now, it;s not even working. My head's thinking of more extreme ways it can mess me over, and I don't want to give in, even though I know I probably will in the end, I always do.

On a happier note, I did lose a lb this week.

When Pint goes to darts later I think I'll start on revision, I have to do something.

I really do need to get my freezer empty and defrosted. I've just found the door open - again - and chiselled out almost a pan full of ice from the back of it so the middle drawer will go all the way in.

aww wow, well done Bun's ds!

Bookworm, my mum started the menopause early, but the doctors wouldn't listen to her, by the time they tested her hormones she was completely through it. My grandma went through it early too, I'm already counting down the years to no more periods!

back from writing group which was great. I nipped into Sainsburys and got some fruit and the three for one pringles...

I remember asking my GP if the fact that I had started the change early meant that it would finish early Ames and she said no, it just meant it would last longer! Actually the GP was right, am 52 now and still getting some night sweats though not as bad as a few years ago. Can't comment on periods as I had a Mirena coil fitted in 2004 and it was the best thing ever.....haven't seen a period for over 5 years! Yes I should have had it removed by now but it is on my non-urgent list of things to do (one day).

Unfortunately I think too many doctors have tunnel vision, they read the text books and refuse to consider anything outside those limits. Not ALL doctors by any means....but an awful lot of them!

Anyone got any idea how I can find a place to donate some very nice squash to? It is in glass bottles so I assume would be difficult to post. I get carried away with special offers and BOGOFs and purchased about 12 bottles, then 4 bottles into it I discovered fruit teabags which are healthier as they have a trace of sugars rather than being a sugary squash.

I've now not touched the stash since before Christmas - it is mulled wine flavour squash so is very nice but I prefer to avoid the sugars for DH.

Katsu-I asked for a hormone test due to issues but my Dr wouldnt have any of it yet until they had my thyroid sorted. Grrrrrr

bw that's interesting, my mum started it at (I think) 42 and she's well over it now, at 51.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
