I agree completely Spud.
I was back and forth to the Dr for YEARS with very clear symptoms of thyroid and they just treated my like a hypochondriac...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

I'm here too, before I get a FB telling off

Had a nice bank hol weekend, but have made a few decisions over the last couple of weeks that have made some changes, I just hope they were the right ones.
Need to be a good DFW now and keep up with the DC to keep me on the straight and narrow, or we will be in a bit of a pickle money-wise
Lots of love to all, I'll go catch up on the rest of the weekend now. xxxxx0 -
Bookworm had terrible trouble not having her actual problem identified waaay past when it should have been, and causing lots of additional problems.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0

When my mum had headaches etc in her mid 40s, her GP assumed it was the change, and she was put on HRT, no blood tests done. It wasnt the change, it was extremely high blood pressure and she died within a few months.
I was referred to a doc in my local hospital in 2006, let's just say that my opinion of him would call into question whether he had a mother and father!!!!!
In a nutshell, he looked me up and down, told me I was too far gone to help and the money would be better spent helping someone worth helping......oh and his parting shot was that I probably had heart failure anyway. I should have sued him but was not well enough to cope with the stress of it all at the time, but as a result of his ignorance and inhumanity I avoided all contact with doctors for a couple of years and only rang the surgery for repeat prescriptions. It's bad enough being written off, but when you get slagged off as well........
As I said there are good, caring doctors out there and I have been lucky enough to find one or two at last.bookworm86570 -

Bookworm, that's awful hun
I was advised to sue after my mum died, but didnt have the strength. Her GP was getting ready to retire, and died himself a few months later so it would've been a waste of time.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I went to Asda earlier, it was very busy, full of complete muppets and has put me in a bad mood!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0
