  • No NSD today :(. Will be updating on crazy clothes challenge thread when I work out how much I actually spent! Wasn't that much, just bits and pieces in different charity shops! Did manage to get two tops though and some long socks for my wellys.........and some vanilla fudge which had gone before I got back to my bike :p.
Yes, I even biked down to our high street, about 10 minutes ride so not that far.

At work for the next three days so hoping to make my target by end of the week.

Another karate injury tonight . I've just noticed I have a rather large vein on the inside of my left knee which is now protuding and bruised, must have got kicked there. I do wonder sometimes why I put myself through it. It's purple, green and red at the moment. A fetching colour but very painful :(.
Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

Well, today is NSD no 11. :j, only 4 more to go!

I somehow thought there was only one week left in May, so had a bit of a shock today :o. At least I will have more chances of getting lots of extra NSDs....but can I make £41.57 last us the rest of the month food-wise?? :o

I have done the meal-plans for the next two weeks, using feeezer and cupboard stuff, so should "only" need to get F&V, milk and eggs. Unfortunately DS2 is now on study leave (AS Levels, had his first today - General Studies, 5 next week though!), so he is munching his way through loads of food atm!!

I made 4 dozen buns on Sunday evening for the week and he has got the last dozen out of the freezer tonight! Oh well, when they are gone, they are gone! Mind you, as he is diabetic (and still doing his rugby fitness training), he goes through a lot of calories a day (4,800 to 5,000 !!) At least home baking is cheaper and better for him :D. I have enough stuff to make another batch in a few days - though I am not telling him that yet! :rotfl:

Spent most of today doing cross-stitch as our dog Floss (a LARGE golden retriever), stood on my crushed toe twice
:eek:this morning. So I wasn't up to doing much else for most of the day, so sat and sewed instead, and bagged an NSD to boot! :T

Will have to go and get some more netting to keep the pigeons off the veggies tomorrow (forgot to get some yesterday. Then I can get the rest of my veg planted out...the pigeons are lurking waiting to attack them!! The fruit cage is newly netted and looks great...might need to get some chicken-wire if the rabbits come in from the fields, they munched their way through the last lot of netting !!!

Oh that is DH back from a day-trip to Holland (work), the flight was delayed by several hours coming back, plane broke down aparently! :o.

    Night, night.

Thanks Niccatw, will give it a try - its just knowing where to start thats the problem!! :) xx

It'll be easy with all of us helping you along. Just stick down a couple of your goals that you need encouragement as your first post... and the rest just follows on natuarlly!

Let us know when you're up and running so we can pop in and say hello!

NSD 8 today :j. I don't want to tempt fate but I'm hopeful I can get some extra this month :D.

Tomorrow however, I will be getting a rather unMSE cut and colour. Pamper time, woo hoo! Cut and colour is my treat that I look forward to (though generally because spends such as Saturdays aren't supposed to occur! I knew my birthday month would trigger my happy-go-lucky spending habits! Normal service will resume asap!)

We have indeed, nicca, Bank Holiday Monday - we'll be there on Brighton Beach with all the bikers in our Star Wars gear!!! And the gay pride parade might be on as well...

Perhaps we could all go to the 'other' beach the nudist one and do away with the Star Wars costumes - the gay pride and bikers can come along too of course !!!!! The mind boggles confused0068.gif

Oh, that rings a bell! I think I did know that. We don't get that bank holiday in Scotland though (or at least I don't) so I might need to borrow BMF's lawnmower to zip down the road asap after work. If it's still fully functioning after the last night out! At least the route will already be programmed into the sat nav (apart from that detour to visit Arthur! Though I could maybe pick up what he owes you BMF!)

I don't think Arthur's been the same since BigMumma trimmed his seat - not sure he'd appreciate another visit by that lawnmower:rotfl:

Wow, it sure has been a little while since I have been able to post. There are pages and pages to read. With my current work situation, which is very busy at the moment, I think I may have to make great use of Spoon's daily catch ups to get a gist of what is going on. As always Spoon you are doing so fantastic keeping us all up-to-date and motivated. :A There is a plus side to working so much and it means not much money being spent. Today is NSD No. 15. I am hoping I can still hit my May target. Keep up all the great work NSDers.:T
