Had a looooooong and hectic day at work. Luckily I was in a good mood so I didn't end up feeling stressed (today is OH's birthday and - when I spoke to him on the phone when I took my morning break - it sounds like he was really pleased with the pressies I left at his last Thursday)

Came home, got changed, made and ate tea, and have just finished mowing my front lawns (badly in need of doing, and - as I'm away this weekend - tonight is likely to be the last chance for at least a week!). Just having a break and a brew, then it's outside again to do the back lawn......

It's not seeming such a bad job now I have my iP0d to listen to while doing it though, and I didn't even mind my mammoth ironing session (including bedding which I don't normally bother with) yesterday morning. Seems like this particular piece of electronic kit could turn out to have been an extremely good investment :T

Just realised I didn't even walk anywhere near the Whoopsie sections when I left work either (though I finish an hour earlier on a Tuesday, so rarely worth bothering with anyway) ;)

So I can officially declare today as NSD #13 :D

Just need to make sure and keep tomorrow as an NSD now, as this is the one odd number I'm not keen on -- and I don't want to be stuck on it over my weekend break negative.gif

Another for me today. OH bought me cheescake in the evening as its Shavuot, the Jewish holiday where you are supposed to eat cheese cake. Its between the spring binge drinking holiday and the autumn binge drinking holiday, I tell you Jews get all the good ones :-)

Anyway he bought so an NSD for me!

Hiya Spoon - I've got a story about my planned NSD's:

We called into the auction rooms in town on Friday as always to have a look around and saw some lovely drawers (1 large and 2 small) for the sitting room. Rather than spoil my NSD for Saturday, I left a bid with the porter meaning that if I got them I would call in on Monday to pay and collect them, 'cause Monday is a spend day anyway. Rang up and found I had got them, at a very good price too, so called in to pay for them on way to Slimming class on Monday. But we were in a rush, so I arranged to pick them up the next day, Tuesday. We had to empty the drawers and other units we had at home to make space for the new ones and hubbie took those ones with him to put into the auction when he went to pick the new ones up. So I still kept Saturday an NSD and only spent on planned spend days.

However, hubbie told me that there was a lovely sofa in for Wednesday's auction which would be just right for our room, so we popped in later for me to have a look at it. I did not like that one though (it wasn't comfortable enough for me) but there was another one there which had a matching armchair with it which was much better made and very comfy. So we decided to go down to the auction tomorrow and bid on the second sofa/chair. We resisted the normal coffee we would have had while we were there to save my NSD but then realised that we needed diesel to get home as we were very low - so bang went my planned NSD for today. If we manage to get the sofa/chair tomorrow that will spoil another NSD too.

So watch this space - tomorrow I will be either reporting an NSD or a new sofa!!!!!
