He's arrived :j:j Thank goodness for that!!! He will get the AA to bring him home in the morning, and drop the car at a different garage - which is the one I usually use, but couldn't fit me in this week. I've managed to get a hire car for a week for £95 - just a wee KA but that's all he needs, it goes and has wheels :rotfl:and I'm only working one day, so he can take and collect me then, too. Hope the bill isn't too scary though. The car is in really good condition too, but it's nearly eleven years old, and old age doesn't come on it's own, does it ;). I had hoped ot would last another two months though. Where is that fingers crossed smiley I keep looking for?

    Thanks again.

    Evening all

    Ladygrim (((hugs)))

    Cranky - fab pic!

Meanmarie - I'm going to Rimini 27th may for 5 nights :D can't wait, never been to Italy before.

Another day on my training course. The weather was foul when we drove down but improved by the end of the day. I felt so tired today but I actually learnt some interesting stuff today, and the group has really gelled so it was fun. We got a free lunch, and desert, which I turned down cos I'm on Slimming World, so I sat there eating an apple whilst everyone had cheesecake/banoffee pie!! Then afterwards we colelcted my minibus from our sister office (they had borrowed it for the week) and I drove that home. 80mins drive by myself doing 62mph max is not fun, but I entertained myself by singing along to the radio! :rotfl:

When I got home I popped to Post office to post some parcel's - stuff I've sold on Amazon, and to Home Bargains for a few bits. I made stirfry with noodles for tea. And now I'm going to chill out with a book.

I've just found out that one of my friends from summer camp is down for the weekend visiting her family who live her so we have made plans to hit the town Sunday night :D

    Have a good evening all

Good evening flowers, hope we're all well, and to those evidently less so then at least improving by the day.

Was dangerously close to getting rained on today while walking back from work, having been sunny this morning and so fine the last few weeks I'd gone without a pigging jacket! Luckily it faired up just in time.

Washing is in the dryer (I knooow, I so want to line dry but can't really) and dipped the freezer for a portion of 3-bean chilli for tea, duly scoffed on some crusty bread which is now in my teeth annoying me. Just about to go and sort out the dishes and get pudding - strawberries and cream, eeee! Who loves British strawberry season?!

Jackie - flipping heck! Cars, more trouble than they're worth eh? I had a love-hate relationship with the old banger I used to use. I called it Eileen, so that when it was struggling to get up the huge hill near where I lived I could go "Come on Eileen!"

Good evening campers! sorry not been posting, but have been reading

glad to hear you are feeling better Diva

Same old, same old going on here. Did a quick trip down south last weekend as my mum has not been well, its hard when you can only talk on the phone. She sounded so bad the weekend before I was in tears, OH said we go down and we did, was glad to see that she seemed to be a bit better. Still a worry though. My dad is doing really well, must be hard for him too.

Well, what have I done this week...hmmmm, had an xray on Monday due to a nasty hip that keeps hurting, makes my walk to work and back a bit of a bother, will see what they say, aparently takes 3 weeks to get results to my Dr....hmmmm can talk to anyone anywhere in the world over the net but takes 3 weeks to get results a mile away, whatever :D

Have next week off work, sooooo glad for the break, we are not going away, aparently, according to my daughter, this is called a staycation, and they are all the rage now? she says I'm trendy :rotfl:

Hope you all have a great BH weekend, and hope to start posting a bit more xx

Eye feels a little better and is now half open so I can see-ish but still sore - I have had to stop the antibiotics though cos I have a really bad tummy I told the daft doc I was allergic to penicillin but he put me on 4 x 500g a day  bloody mong.
So I will have to go back on Tuesday and hopefully see my own GP

JackieG Glad OH made it .......I would report the garage to Trading Standards because they obviously don't know what they are doing and are rip off merchants.:(

LadyGrim... I hope the funeral went as well as possible and that you are OK ((((((((Hugs)))))))

Here is a piccie of my daft bunny

Off to bed in a tic. Work was hard and I have poor sore feet. :o

Little in the way of OS today apart from some swishing before work and a little gardening after it.
Have instructed OH on the technicalities of making brocolli and stilton soup for tommorrow while I'm at work so that will be interesting. ;)

Just phoned Pink to get her to talk me out of buying a picnic hamper on the grabbit board. She successfully told me how it would never be used, would be impractical to carry, wouldn't fit alot of food, etc, etc and then promptly bought it herself. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Still thinking of you Ladygrim.

    Sleep well everyone.

Hi dreamyd - how do you get 80 free downloads? I just signed up and got 50 free but there are quite a few good albums on there and another 30 free would be be great! :) Or did you have an account before which you cancelled and were then offered the 80 to rejoin?
