  • Hi huys, I was in peterborough queensgate boots today.
When I asked about DS last week they said they only had one x-box left and it was full price. Saw the display box in there today and I believe it is now half price, although it is not marked up and I didn't ask as I don't want one.
The display box is just behind the kodak photo printing kiosk next to the main photo desk, and showed the x-box and a couple of games on the cover.
Somebody may want it - but don't forget to ring first as they had 2 PS2 display boxes last week, but no PS2's!
  • At the weekend, they still had a gameboy micro on display in the Hampton Boots in Peterborough priced around £33 I think.

they also had an xbox with a few games but it was priced at £149.99 and some gameboy advances priced at £55 don't know what they scanned at though!

Just to reply to the HaroldHamsum post earlier - I was the original poster
Apologies if you thought I was referring to you. I was just making a general point about a recurring theme on this forum.

As it happens I popped into Boots today because I was interested in one of the reduced cameras. All sold out (as usual :( ).

Hi just an update on my previous post...

I got a call from the Forfar store to say that they had received the Silver Nintendo DS bundle from the Aberdeen store. My mum picked it up after her work and everything is there - all for £38.74.

Yes wavefinder, I see it as your duty to house it and power it ;) - is your name from the Psion wavefinder? In which case you've been a DAB fan for AGES ;)

There are some iPOD mini arm bands (just under a fiver) and a choice of a pink gameboy SP or a tribal SP bundles for £25 and £27 respectively at Boots in the centre of Cambridge (Lions Yard). I'm not sure what the pink one comes with but the tribal comes with Sonic 3 and the Simpsons road rage games, it's a bargain.
how did you guess? and i'm still using it on an old windows 98 system.it was bought for a fraction of its price way back then. i do like to bargain hunt especially for tech stuff. cheers.

Yes - A Nintendo DS, Madagascar game, Animaniacs - Lights, Camera, Action game & Zoo Keeper game - all for £38.74. Tesco are currently selling the console itself for around £90 so I got a bargain. If it wasn't for the other posters on here I wouldn't have known a thing about it though so well done everyone who contributed! :T

Here is a copy of the first post that shows what they were selling, however, there doesn't seem to be too much left in many of the shops. Plus PS2 are apparently sold out.

    Happy Hunting though...

    Back to the original post....

I'm sorry if this should go in the Boots Grabbit thing, but in the Oxford branch of Boots, they were getting rid of all their Games/MP3 stock. I picked up a Gameboy Micro (the tiny Game Boy Advance) with Pacman Collection and Rayman: Hoodlum Havoc for £33.32. I got the last one, but they also had signs for things like the Sony 1Mg 'Bean' MP3 player for a third of the regular price. This also seemed to include things like Ipod accessories. Stock seems to be running out fast, so a real grabbit if you can still find them.
