I'd definitely pass them on. If it's something you don't need or want then don't keep it - you can still be grateful to the giver as it is the thought that counts.0

Me too!!:D**Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!**

Me Three! Just remember who gave you the present though!0

Yep! definitely recycle pressies - just remember not to send something back to whoever sent it to you
so it might be worth keeping a note of who gave you what as well if you're going to keep a pressie box...
I got an expensive "pamper yourself kit" with smellies and massage oils in it but I never use anything like that (not even shower gel) coz I've got sensitive skin. My friend was getting married but already lived with her OH and suggested something like this because they like sharing baths together so I sent her this coz it sounded the ideal thing to pamper each other with...and she was well pleased with it too
my brother's girlfriend obviously has very good taste
You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:

i gave my (well-off, by the way!) sister a molton brown present i bought online a couple of years ago. i felt a bit bad that there was a tiny dent in the box that must have happened in the post, but still...
a christmas later my mum received a molton brown present from her... with an identical tiny dent in the box lol
it's fine to recycle prezzies, especially if you're on a low income, won't use the presents, or know that someone else would prefer it!
i too get loads of smellies too for some reason - and most of them aren't suitable for me as i'm veggie so it has to be no animal ingredients and not tested on animals - i still get them no matter how many times i hint to people that i can only use certain stuff! it's not that i don't appreciate it, as i'm one of those 'i appreciate the thought anyway' kinda people, but i just can't use them on principle. if they don't get recycled as presents or sold an ebay, the charity shop gets them. dilemma sorted, although it does make me think that it's definitely a shame that people don't listen more lol... they could save pennies, time and effort by buying things that a person actually wants or needs...
one birthday another sister bought me a pair of leather trainers - knowing that i didn't wear leather and hadn't for at least 10 years... she just said 'oh go on, i won't tell the animals, just this once'!? she was really offended when i gently said i would have to return them and get something else, but would it have been better to keep quiet? of course not!
anyway... recycle those unwanted gifts... recycle recycle recycle!0 -
Do any of you recycle presents ?
For example, for my birthday I got 2 presents that I do not want,
I feel guilty about this
Could I give them to someone else for christmas ?
OK, back to the original question, but it would have been quicker to ask:
Is there anyone out there who DOESN'T recycle presents?
(except for me, who has never been brave enough to try it before, but I certainly will now after reading your posts.)
Will also be more careful when unwrapping presents from now on too - could save a fortune in wrapping paper.0 -

Yup me too
I'm getting quite good at it too
Most gift sets get broken up and re-arranged though so they aren't likely to recognise anything
