I was there when she said she would not be able to get back to Oldham for a while if it didn;t work and the assistant said it wasn't a problem for her to go to the t-mobile shop in Peterborough

I don't think you can merge posts, hopefully a moderator will merge them.

So what did the Peterborough store say to her when she tried to return it to them?

She took the equiptment back to the Peterborough branch and told them that once again it wouldn;t work in Yaxley the village she lives in. They then proceeded to try the dongle in the branch...this worked. My daughter told them that was fine, but Peterborough wasn't the village she lived in. The person told her there was nothing they could do as she had signed a contract

I've just checked on T-mobile's website and there's NO coverage at all for Yaxley on 3g, only 2g. If that's the case then the staff in the Oldham shop have misled her, and she could have a case. It's a pity she can't prove what they told her, it comes down to her word against theirs.

Thank you.I'm sure She still has the coverage thing given to here at the oldham branch saying that she'd get coverage in Yaxley. My husband and I were with her when she was given this sheet and told that she'd get coverage..I know that doesn;t help as we'd be biased. Av just spoken to my daughter and she is going to root out that piece of paper, copy it and write to t-mobile.
