My First Neg! - Did I Deserve It?

Last monday was going through the box of all the stuff i had listed and realised i had a copy of series 2 of a dvd and was missing a copy of series 1.
I had only posted out the 2 copies of what should have been series 2 that morning so i contacted both of the buyers through 'my messages' got a reply from one of them the next day saying she had recieved series 2 and thanking me. So i then knew it was the other buyer, short message stating the other buyer had contacted me saying they had recieved series 2, so i knew that it was him that i had sent the wrong dvd too, if he could get in touch i would pay for return postage of the other dvd and send series 2 out to him.
I hear nothing from him - was starting to wonder if maybe he had gone on holiday so i sent him another quick message yesterday morning basically saying that wasnt sure if he had got my last message but .....
Still no contact from him. I pull his details from ebay and try calling him and the number is dead :mad:
I log in this morning to find still no contact this morning but he has negged me!

u have sent me series 1 and i bid for series 2

did i deserve it? i havent left him feedback yet and dont really want to because i do need the series 1 dvd back coz i have sold it! (though that person hasnt paid n i have had to do a NPB to which after 4 days they still havent replied to so it may not be an issue but i dont want to risk it!)

i have sent him another message stating again that i have sent him several messages the first being before he even recieved it and i have had no contact from him at all and that had he replied it could have been quite easily resolved, and that i am still willing to send him series 2 out and pay for the return postage of series 1.

Quite upset about it actually im only human we all make mistakes occassionally

I wouldnt mind but i went out of my way to help him right from the beginning letting him pay by paypal even though it wasnt in the listing waiting nearly 2 weeks for payment etc etc

Only problem is that if this other buyer does pay for series 1 i need that dvd back!

Give him a Neg back and then ask him if he wants to do a mutual retraction.

No; buyer didn't contact. Neg them back and then sort it out after which you can both do a mutual withdrawl of feedback.

These buyers that neg without contact are a real pain. Real ebayers should be judged on how they handle problems it is very easy when things go to plan.

I would neg them back - you did your best to contact them, the phone number supplied was dead and they didnt reply to emails. Did you send the emails through ebay? He should have contacted you before leaving the feedback - any normal person would have doen and given chance to sort it.

Sounds like you are having a bad time of it on ebay at the moment! Hope the baby okay!

Sent all emails through ebay so that i knew that he got them! Was considering stopping with ebay once RM bring in the new postal charges this is making me more inclined to do so! I dont think i have the time to deal with the small minority of idiots on there that for some reason i seem to attract :rotfl:

Baby isnt too bad she is full of a cold at the mo hate not being able to do anything to help her

Any suggestions on a nicely worded neg back?
Also any suggestions how i can get him to return the other dvd?

I think its cus you have 3 negs in your feedback. They havent looked through it properly tho and have presumed that the three negs are against you and they are negs that you have left for other people. They are trying to catch you out I think. Backfired tho.
