Daughter's Disabled Blue Badge Stolen

I think there is something in the Blue Badge information about if you are doing an errand or something for the disabled person you can use their motability vehicle but if you are able bodied you should not park in the disabled bays.
Because the child is only 6 years old the guardian/s should be totally able to take over their roles as carers on behalf of the child.
Hell, a parents role is bad enough without having to care also for the needs of a disabled child. Give the poor OP a break0 -
I'm sorry your wee girl is in hospital. I hope she gets better soon.
When my daughter (and even my mum) were in hospital, we got a special pass to get out of the car park and we didn't have to pay. We don't have a blue badge. Doesn't the hospital you're in have a scheme something like this? If not, it's a disgrace. No-one should have to pay £42 a day because a loved one is in hospital.0 -
Haha some people on these boards are unbelievable. Wonder if they can park their high horses for free?0

Is it a small hospital then? Even then, I'm sure small hospitals (we have one near where I live at home) have car parks too.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

How do you know it wasn't me that took it?! In that case i'd be fully supportive wouldn't I?! :rotfl::D
Seriously though, i'm glad we've gotten a little light hearted. It was all getting a bit intense.
The badge has gone, the OP needs another one and was asking how to get one. Whether we agree or disagree whether the OP uses this in whatever way he/she is using it, the enforcement comes down to whoever is in charge of the area at the time.
And for the record - I wouldn't steal a badge out of someone's car lol. I'd just park the car and take the fine if that's what it took.
But nevertheless... we're here to help. Not judge. Isn't that why this forum is so popular in the first place?0 -
Yes. My parents have had to do this several because of mine & my dads' illnesses.
so what don't you understand then? Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

Give him a break. I don't condone the misuse of blue badges but his daughter is in hospital. My guess is that he's not parking in disabled bays but just parking in a normal space and avoiding the extortionate fees. When a family member is in hospital, especially away from home, for any period of time, chances are you have to take time off work. Money can be tight enough as it is, without having to worry about car park fees (and this isn't just a £5 a day fee!) There's enough stress when your child is ill without having to worry about anything else.0

No. Its one of the biggest hospitals in the country, unfortunately its in london, where buliding offices and houses is more cost effective than a car park :cool:Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk
