Mine have ended up half a size bigger than before I was pregnant. I am now a 7 1/2 and it is a nightmare to find shoes in that size. I was an easy 7 beforehand. My daughter is now 4 years old!0

The best thing about labour is immediatly afterwards you feel great. You get this window after labour and before the sleep deprivation kicks in that you feel great. I was eating and drinking everything I could get my hands on while the midwife stitched me up. Your feet will be fine, prop them up when you can for now, and it will all be over soon!0

I had really severe swelling. My ankles were the size of thighs and I had no movement in my ankle joint and little movement in my knee joints. I couldn't wear any socks or shoes at all, and could only just manage to force my feet into a pair of those cheapo flip flops with a toe post and strip of material across your toes.
It did take a few weeks to go away after birth, but I did manage to get back into normal socks and shoes
I second putting your feet up as much as you can both before and after birth. Also put a pillow under your feet in bed to keep them raised a bit. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Poor you that must have been so annoying! The joys of pregnancy
I'm very lucky to be relaxing on maternity leave now so can't complain about not being able to put my feet up..for the time being at least:D

I have always had big feet (size 7) but since having my first (who's 4 1/2) I swear either my feet have got bigger or shoe sizes have shrunk
Many of the shoes I now have to buy are a size 8

My mum was a size 4 before she had me. She ended up with size 5 1/2 to 6 feet.0

I had pre-eclampsia in my first pregnancy and the swelling was awful. Rings came off somewhere before 20 weeks, for the last 6 weeks the only footwear I could manage was an old pair of green flash (that shows my age) laced on just one hole. My then OH had to run a basin of warm water every morning for me to soak my hands in and wriggle them to get them moving, and I was put on total bed rest for those 6 weeks, only allowed out twice a week - once to see midwife, once to see doctor. In the end I was admitted when they couldnt feel the baby by palpating cos I was such a blob lol
Funiest bit was after the birth, woke up on the second morning and lying in the bed I noticed I had ankles again. Eased myself to sit round with legs hanging over the side of the bed and literally watched the fluid drain back into them so they widened by about 2 inches....really bizarre!!!0 -
My feet weren't swollen during pregnancy but they did grow half a size and have never gone back down (6 years ago)MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740

Ooh ellay that must have been rough!
Slightly concerned by all the people whose feet have grown permanently - I can't afford a new shoe collection!!
