    Toshiba 32" HDR Best Buy £180 v Currys £329 / £296

    Samsung 32" HDR Best Buy £300 v Currys £450 / £405

    Dell Mini Netbook Best Buy £200 v Currys £270 / £243

    How can Best Buy be so cheap ????

    Because they are a truly established US company who will transform UK technology spending giving the competition something to seriously consider when it come to pricing. It's good news for the UK electronic consumer.

    Loss Leaders to attract publicity like this, and no doubt the national newspapers on saturday morning, with picture of huge queues for cheap TVs

    yeah, I would imagine these items will only be this price for opening.

    I went to Best Buy in Canada and Florida - loved it. They also sell DVDs and Video Games - dont' know if that will be the case here. (EDIT - just checked the site and see that they do yippe)

    Wonder how long it will be before they open up one in Scotland...

    It's wonderfully over-hyped. Their brochure even shows money off deals. "£50 off". £50 off what? They haven't traded yet!

    It's most probably "£50 off" the recommended retail price
  • One for anybody in the South East (in driving distance of Lakeside anyway) - new store from company called Best Buy opens tomorrow with some pretty strong offers such as Wii Black for £99, Sony DSLR for £199 and amazingly a Toshiba 32" HDTV for £179!? :eek:
