Just remembered another thing, a couple of people at work have recommended the photographer they used - http://www.weddingphrame.co.uk/
They said the pics on the website don't do justice to how good they found him.

    And someone else recommended www.inshot.co.uk

    Another Yorkshire bride here!
We're getting married at Somerset House in Halifax (owned by the council), then reception at the Hey Green Hotel in Marsden near Huddersfield.
Photographer is Chris at Enjoy Photography, who is lovely and our pre-wedding pics are fab!
Flowers by Forever Green florists who are also lovely!
Cake is being made by a friend of the family.
Most importantly (being a band geek!) music is by Emley Brass Band - who are fab, very flexible in terms of group size (and volume!) and reasonably priced!
My dress was from Celebrations in Ossett, who were also really helpful and had lots of dresses in the sale at the time (last autumn)
    HTH someone!

Thanks :) Links have been added
This is turning into a lovely list of local suppliers
Does anybody have any negative feedback though? Anybody people should avoid or be wary of? :)

I'm a Yorkshire B2B we're getting married in the Leeds Town Hall :)

For transport if people are wanting to go 'vintage' we've hired a london routemaster Yorkshire Heritage - http://www.yorkshireheritagebus.co.uk/

The man is a collector, but he's refurbished a lot of them to hire out.. the office is in Hebden Bridge, he's really nice!

And for our wedding cupcakes we've hired Sarah from Cupcake Crumbs - http://www.cupcakecrumbs.co.uk/ she's just starting out but we got a taster session and she's a brilliant baker! Very very reasonable prices as well for being a new business.

I've looked at that website before. I really like the look of that victoria sponge tower. It doesn't go with my colours unfortunately, but it does make me want to eat cake :p
Hmmmm, cake... *goes off to look for cake*

    Hey Laura!

I've been to a couple of weddings at 'The Parsonage' in Escrick, nice grounds and building etc..plus it's next to a nice looking church!

The Pavillion looks really good too, quite a few people I know have got married there.

Sandburn Hall is lovely - we sometimes go there for lunch at work...
