There may be a restricition on hubby as he left the job of his own choice, the best thing he can do is contact the jobcentre plus, and they should be able to help him from there. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Quit his job ...Why with all those children to clothe and feed ....i am sure he sees you and the children as your pregnant again seems a little strange too quit his job and think its that easy to claim benefits when you have quit a job and for the reason you give and i am sure the DWP will also see it this way:AAutism isn't the end of the world just a journey to another one:A0 -
If he quit his job, he will likely be sanctioned for up to 26 weeks as he left voluntarily. I would imagine though that with 7 children, soon to be 8, you are making more on child tax credit than most double income working families - sounds like budget time, oh......AFTER you buy yourselves a tv of course! lol
Congrats on the new bump

Father 8 children, give up your job, let the State (and the rest of us tax paying mugs) pay for your family while you both sit on your backsides at home.....pretty much sums up everything that is wrong with this country in one post.
Martin - I am trying to be nice to posters, but stories like this make me spit.0 -
To be fair to the poster - here is one of her previous posts - not ALL of the children are theirs as a couple - case of combined families......
my hubby and i got together in 2008, he moved in with me and my four children shortly after. everything was good until his ex decided she wanted his 3 children to live with him...we took the children on even tho we only had a 2 bed house. very crowded with all 9 of us there. however a few months later once his ex stopped getting money for her children(cos they lived with us) she decided to take us to court saying she wanted them back. to cut a long story short we had two court appearances which his ex never turned up to either one and the judge granted my hubby residency. 6 months later we moved to a 4 bed house (big house).
we got married and everything is going good. however my hubbys eldest son (8 years old) has autistic spectrum disorder, and whilst my hubby works full time i am classed and claim carers allowance for his son. we have just found out i am 3 months pregnant, and hubbys oldest son behaviour is getting worse where he will lash out. me and hubby have been talking and he is thinking of giving up work, (there is no way his employer will let him do flexi hours cos the job is not situated in one place). could anyone tell me what we would be entitled to. my hubby is looking for part time hours (even tho he is still working at the mowith his current job). this is due to 2 reasons...1. is obviously so he can become his sons carer and 2..becos the job he is in now he only really gets to see the children on weekend cos he has gone to work before they are up and home when they are in bed. i really dont know what to do..please help.. do you think it would be worth him giving his job up?
Lucy - did you go and see the CAB as was suggested in your other thread?0 -

?
Why does this matter? They are still their biological children (albeit not together). Between them they have created 8 lives, so they (not us) should pay for them, surely?0 -

Never claimed benefits ! Except child Benefit, tax credits (for 7 children) and carers allowance. So no benefits apart from hundreds of pounds a week!0
