frankly i find the witch hunt blood lust from the right wing media sickening.

Not quite as sickening as your signature. I've not yet seen any of the right wing media wishing to see Gordon Brown dead.

look i'm just quoting the man himself...(dc). if we're talking real foot in mouth moments that was one. along with his need to reference the fact that he'd spoken to a 40 year old black man in debate one when the skin colour was completely irrelevent.

It's disingenuous for people to claim this business is just part of the froth and doesn't matter.

Why it is important is because it reveals something about the character of Brown (and the New Labour establishment, for that matter) which needs revealing. And Brown's character - authoritarian, unstable and arrogant - will be the defining factor of the next government, should his party win the election.

We need more revelations like this, more of the truth about all three of the chimps running for office. We don't need the lies, spin, baby kissing and carefully stage managed photo ops. We need the truth about these people who think they have a right to control our lives, 'warts and all'.

And that's what we got yesterday.

I'm sitting here watching the "Leaders debate" , this is like 3 hookers on a street corner touting for business. Each one saying what they will do for you, how they are better than the other 2, not to mention the b1tchy back biting.

The funny bit is none of them are quoting the price...........

This isn't a real debate as we need the audience to be able put them on the spot.

I agree Ninky, so long as the houses go to hard working people.;) Oh and teenage mums need not apply....... I remember the 80,s when teenage girls were shucking out kids to get a Council House. You reap what you so and we are now paying for the Tory policy which was carried on by Nu Labour.....

it's merely a quote from david cameron himself in the last debate. something he considered to be a joke.

i don't think breaking broadcasting codes does us any favours to be honest no matter who they are aimed at.

So David Cameron said "Mr Cameron" did he? Was talking to himself?

Or have you changed it, to suit what you wish it to show?

If you have changed it to suit yourself, THAT is exactly what you are complaining of with the blood lust thing. You are disgusted one way, but have gone out of your way to do it yourself.

It was - I think - sent by email to David Cameron. As such the quote is verbatim. David Cameron joked about it - bringing it into the public domain. As such it is perfectly acceptable for someone to quote him on it. For what it's worth, I reckon it's a good thing that he has the confidence to repeat a comment - half funny, half insulting - like that, just as I liked Gordon Brown addressing yesterday's disaster in his opening comments.

no not at all. it refers to all filming. including the type i do. you have to make it very clear when you are recording. you certainly cannot use footage when a contributor could reasonably have expected they were no longer being recorded as with gb.

don't try to argue with me on this one. i know what i am talking about. i suggest anyone who is annoyed about this writes to ofcom citing their codes of conduct. they are then obliged to reply.

Why can't I 'argue' this with you Ninky - are you the only one here that knows about the media or the law then? This is the sort of dismissive tactic displayed by someone not prepared to explain themselves or listen to other peoples view points.....hmmm, sounds familiar me thinks.;)

Guidelines are guidelines, not the law. I spend half my days in court rooms arguing over the definition of a single word or its context, hence why I remain unconvinced that the guidelines have been broken. No secret filming, no permission required, the public interest over-ride applies.

You've clearly dismissed the idea of entertaining any further debate on this particular matter as you know best, but it is somewhat off-topic anyway, so I guess we'll have to wait and see whether OfCom get any complaints and whether they push ahead with those complaints.
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.
