We always thought Asda was cheaper until we started using mysupermarket.com then our last two shops have been surprisingly cheaper at Tesco's...Last weeks worked out about £6/7 cheaper

I don't think this will work very well as someone else has pointed out some own brand things won't be compared if the weight differs which is on a fair few items...We buy a fair few things which are own brand so we would be missing out...

Thanks. TBH, when mysupermarket.com launched a few years ago I had a quick look at it on the very day it was launched. I thought that it just compared prices. Will take a look again.

It does...We put in everything we need to buy and then we print off the list depending on which is cheaper. It isn't pefect by any means but it is a help....

I had a quick look. Added a few random items and Tesco were indeed marginally cheaper. Shame I did my online order on tuesday for delivery on Friday...I don't really want to waste and hour doing it again only to save a couple of quid but will use it on my next shop!

So on Saturday do the check and if you could have got your online shop cheaper at Tescos you will get an E voucher.

I use my supermarket but do find the outcome varies very much dependant on which Supermarket you choose as the one to start shopping from if you buy products based on offers.

e.g. I will tend to buy either Pepsi or Coke depending on which is on offer. So if I use Tescos and buy coke as it is on offer - Asda will appear to be more expensive (if it isn't on offer there) even though I could actually have got Pepsi for cheaper as they have a better offer..

    If this makes any sense!

I decided to add my trolley into mysupermarket.

    Tesco £151.45
    Asda £121.13
    Sainsburys £159.74
    Ocadao £186.87

No chance of an e-voucher! To be fair though, i've been shopping online at Asda for over a year and know what comes on offer so i've bought a few items in bulk. An example is dried apricots are currently £1 for 500g so bought 3 packs on my asda order. That's £10.74 at Tesco so £7.74 more expensive.

Also, it's baby event at Asda so £24 for 2 mega packs of nappies. £35.94 at Tesco so £11.94. £9 of wipes replaced by £12 of wipe so an extra £3.

That little lot comes to an extra £22.68 so removing them makes tesco £7.64 more expensive. I'm sure that I could save a bit more with some non like-for-like swaps.
