Sounds a bit complicated, but ok if it works!0

I wonder how this works in relation to say a 2for1 offer in Tesco, would you have to buy two items in ASDA?TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0

Apparently mysupermarket check Morrisons prices twice a week instore and the website will be updated for comparison then.
too many comps..not enough time!0 -
Just another gimmick instead of cutting prices.
I notice a lot of "rollbacks" have been well rolled forward first.
The other thing this week they have increased 3 bottles of wine for £10 to £12 and no discount for buying 6 bottles, unlike Tesco which gives 5%.
Overall supermarket prices are increasing along with their BILLIONS of pounds profits.0 -

I sometimes have to do this if i am shopping for a friend and the cashier doesn't mind. I don't know if this would make a difference
This was my first thought too. We should check the prices before we shop and put the more expensive through separately.:D0 -

I agree, I sometimes see offers on here for morrisons or tesco that I don't get because I don't have time to go to the different supermarkets. But I could make a note before going this way and buy the offers separately.

Be careful if you buy the offers separately as you must have a eight or more items on a receipt, read all the terms and conditions which you have to agree to before you proceed with the price comparison. I work for Asda and had my briefing yesterday, it will be interesting to see how it pans out and what the other supermarkets do.
Only like for like items can be compared, own brand beans will only be compared with own brand beans if they are the same weight for example.0 -

Exactly. Asda are the cheapest supermarket. Isn't this not having a clubcard on of the reasons that they are cheaper? On a decent sized shop there is no way that Asda will be more expensive.
The only way I can see that this will be useful is that if you do a small shop with a basket similar to the ones that Tesco advertise on TV as being the cheapest! The other thing this week they have increased 3 bottles of wine for £10 to £12 and no discount for buying 6 bottles, unlike Tesco which gives 5%.
I 've taken advantage of the 3 for £10 offer for over a year on my online shop. I couldn't even find the 3 for £12 offer on Tuesday! Not happy!0 -
If you shop at Asda anyways what is there to lose from doing it. OK, so the system will be geared up that cheap items will offset expensive items but "swings and roundabouts"
As said before, it will be interesting to see how it copes with BOGOFS etc. The one thing that Ive noticed a few time on the comparisions are where items are exactly the same price at Asda and Tescos but Asda dont do a clubcard type loyalty scheme. The sites never seem to take this "discount" into account.0 -

We always thought Asda was cheaper until we started using mysupermarket.com then our last two shops have been surprisingly cheaper at Tesco's...Last weeks worked out about £6/7 cheaper
I don't think this will work very well as someone else has pointed out some own brand things won't be compared if the weight differs which is on a fair few items...We buy a fair few things which are own brand so we would be missing out...0
