what should I ask for on my Sky renewal?

Things COST money... its all very well getting a good deal... but no point to the business itself if it supplies to everyone at a loss.
If you want quality... you have to pay for it.
Im thinking of going down virgin road next, as the Broadband is high speed, and they own the box, so if it needs replacing its sorted... this insurance thing from sly is a rip off.
If your out of contract, you just say to sky... fine... ill leave... and go to virgin. As I can't watch it, and can't afford the extra chg. Then they come and fix it for free anyway in doing so retain you, but it takes a whole lot of hassle to get it done!Plan

Just got a flyer through the post saying £2.50 off BB for 12 months but it is a generic deal for everyone renewing BB.
There is no football on tv for the next 3 months so it is a good time to renegotiate. Sky Sports is £18 a month and I can get 3 months half price but really want 12 months half price. Maybe give them a phone back later this month.0 -
I recently tried to wangle a free sky+ box out of them, I have been a customer for about 10years and had sports and movies, so full tv basically. Anyway, they were having none of it, offered sone 'deal' which worked out to be more expensive and evantually got the customer services guy to admit that its not really much of a deal lol. So I cancelled movies and now that the footy season is over I plan to cancel that too. My current plan is the basic package + news channels. Sod um, if I cant have a free sky+ box I am not paying for channels I rarely watch :-)
AND can people please stop saying that their contract is up for renewal, its NOT, its simply that your minimum term is over so you can leave without penalty. Its not like with a contract mobile phone where you can get something when you upgrade (again not really a re-newal as if you dont contact them you revert to a rolling 1 month contract)YNWA

Oh well, looks like I will be £50+ better off a month then...0 -
Same for me mate... i'll only save £18 as I only had the Variety mix... was dreading it but to be honest i'll only miss Sky1 and the recording features.
Will just go back to downloading more stuff like 24 and Strikeback.0
