Hi All,

Sky is due for renewal next month, we have the full package and HD for £55.00 per month (no BB or phone line).

What should I ask them for to keep my business?

would they give me a new 1TB box? or should i get a discount for the next 12 months?

Thanks for looking, Simone :D

  • If you're paying Sky £660 a year to watch your own television, you should ask them for a diamond necklace.

At the very least, a 24-carat gold, 5 TB HD box (which will still freeze :( ).

Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

unfortunatly, I live in the North of Scotland, so dont have the luxury of virgin, otherwise I would swap.

Anyone else have any ideas about what I could get on renewal?

Your Sky contract isnt up for renewal, your minimum term is up and you are free to leave with no penalty. However, unlike mobile phone companies where you can go to another network, you freely admit your options are limited, especially if you want Sports and Movies. You are unlikely to get new equipement especially if you already have an HD box (and anyway the 1TB box is a premium product costing £299 to new and existing customers at the moment).

Your only option would be to say you are considering leaving and see if retentions will offer you any discount on your package but its likely to be applied for only a few months before going back to full price and you wont keep getting discount after discount.

Also worth noting that if you are considering leaving and rejoining as a new customer, you are not considered a 'new' customer until you have been away for 12 months.

Im with Pokerlad, he is spot on regarding renewal, there is no such thing.
You just keep getting it till you cancel it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Only after a year. The address would show up on Chordiant as having recently cancelled on the Service History tab.If you signed up using the same surname as your husband, cancel & try to get him to sign up,they'd deffo smell a rat.

Besides,Sky's customer base is soo large, they can afford to let a few go & are'nt bothered about keeping you if you're not a big spender.

Chances of you getting anything.....Nil to slim!
