Any Landlords or tenants?

I am a landlady and have my preferred gas, electric, plumbing and "odd job" people, the tennant also has their nmbers so IF there is an emergency and they cannot contact me they can go direct and I pay hen I get the invoice, (so far the tennant has not needed to contact them!).
No way would I pay for the sort of service you are offering, sorry but there are plenty of good workmen without having to pay extra to a middleman for a phone call I could make directly. I wish you well with the venture but I do think you will be appealing to a very small user base.
We are not making a charge for the service. You pay for what you use.0 -
I probably should have been a bit more specific.
I currently run a joinery/building business with my OH - we have recently set up another business in Partnership with a trade suppliers selling furniture.
Our business currently has a lot of landlords already on its books, as does the furniture supplier.
We can offer a full range of services at cut prices, because actually there is no 'middle man' - we are the 'middle men' - we dont charge a monthly fee and are a 'one-stop' shop for everything.
LL's would have nothing to lose by having our details, or using us once, as they would only actually use us if they needed something.
We are mainly focussing on student lets, as there are so many in York, where we are based, and also a lot of the LL's live away from the area and are more likely to need more help with everything. (for instance we can just go and replace one or two items of furniture or crockery)
We wouldnt be offering advice on how to run a tenancy, more like how to look after your tenant whilst they are there - we are not offering legal advice.
Just realised that sounds like an advert! sorry - we have not launched yet so that is not what I am doing - but any advice is gratefully recieved.0
