Can I take burnt taste away?

    Forgot to say, if it happens again ....DON'T be tempted to stir it, tip it out without touching anything at the bottom, that way you just might be able to save some of it.

    The burnt 'crust' at the bottom is a gonner though. If it all tastes burnt though, it's had it

    Chippy is always plan B in my house or kebab shop if the OH gets his way!

    I have found that adding a tin of baked beans (any brand), takes away the taste of some burnt food.

    If your dish "shouldn't" have baked beans, mash them up then stir them into the dish.

    Works for most things, curry, bolognaise etc.
